BEST ROLLER COASTERS Cyclone (Coney Island) Scaring riders since 1927, this wooden coaster is one of the few attractions of its era to remain not only operational, but a main attraction. Every spring, an egg cream blesses this Coney Island fixture. What follows is a stream of Brooklynites and tourists alike to experience a ride their grandparents may have gone on. It’s not the longest or scariest ride based on drops. What makes this coaster frightening and awesome is the rickety sound you hear as you ascend to its apex. If you let go of your fear for a split second, you can admire the beautiful view of Luna Park and the Coney Island beach. Then comes the scary part. For newbies, you fear that the old ride may give way during sharp turns. But fear not. It’s been wellmaintained and updated. Like Disney, you can even receive a picture of your reaction on the thrill ride. If you love coasters or rides of any kind, you owe it to yourself to be a part of history,
