“Scandal”
(Netflix, Hulu)
This beloved Shonda Rhimes show is creeping up on its series finale. What better time to bingewatch
the series? In it, Kerry Washington slays as Olivia Pope, a former media consultant to the
president who opens up her own crisis-management firm and gets stuff “handled,” alongside actors
like Tony Goldwyn (who plays none other than the president himself), Bellamy Young (the strong and
powerful first lady) and more. The show, which premiered in 2012, is mid-way through its seventh and
final season.
“American Horror
Story: Cult”
(FX, Amazon)
With another season of the Ryan
Murphy Emmy Award-winning cultclassic
(forgive the pun) in the books,
you have no reason not to bingewatch
the latest season in one or
two sittings. This season’s iteration
centers on the 2016 election (scary,
right?) and a (totally fictional) cult
that comes out of it.
The newest version of the hourlong
anthology series once again
stars series’ front-runners like Sara
Paulson and Evan Peters and once
again totally encapsulates. It’s a little
gory (and a little too real for those
shaken up by the recent political
landscape), but does make for a great

“This Is Us”
(Amazon, Hulu)
You may have heard about “This Is Us” (referred
to by Z100 DJ Elvis Duran as “This Is Sad”), but have
you committed to it yet? What better way to bond
with your roommates than over an excruciatingly
emotional (and crazy cathartic) show that centers
on none other than a family (okay, maybe bingewatching
this while you’re away at college isn’t the
best idea…but we’re sticking with it)?
Dan Fogelman’s hit family drama tells the story
of siblings Kate, Kevin and Randall (The Big Three!)
in the present day while recounting their parents
Jack and Rebecca’s own story through pregnancy
and raising them in the early-to-mid-1980s. The
show is truly a trip – and we’re not just talking
through time.
