Founded by a family that has been in the restaurant and pizzeria businesses for over 40 years, it’s no wonder Giacomo’s knows what it’s doing. Its menu boasts everything from classic Italian dishes like baked ziti and gnocchi, to parmigiana heroes and its fan-favorite wood fired pizzas. There is a little something for everyone (especially those looking for a true, Italian experience). That, and its relaxed atmosphere, helps to make it the best Italian restaurant in all of Brooklyn. The Brooklyn location of the longstanding chain, which first opened on Union Streeteet in Cobble Hill in 2013, serves up not only southern-style meats and draft brews, but also, an extensive amount of helpings for kids. It’s children menu – aptly dubbed “Dino Kids” for kids 12 and under – boasts mini takes on its signature dishes, such as the BBQ Sliders (which come in pulled pork, beef brisket or cheeseburger), and kid-friendly dishes like Dino’s Crispy Chicken Fingers and Macaroni and Cheese Plate.
