RESIDENT ARRESTED
FOR SEXUAL ABUSE
OF 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL
ON D TRAIN
A Bath Beach resident was arrested
on charges of forcible touching and
sexual abuse after allegedly molesting
a 15-year-old girl on a northbound
D train.
According to authorities, on Friday
April 27, at around 3 p.m., 42-year-old
Jorge Ruiz was inside of a northbound
"D" train as it approached
the Bay 50th Street station, when he
allegedly approached the teenage
victim, touched her inner thigh and
attempted to kiss her. When the girl
shoved the suspect away, he fell to
the floor of the train. The victim then
moved to a different train car and the
man remained in the same car.
Police announced Ruiz’s arrest on
Saturday, May 5.

COPS SEEK MAN THEY
SAY MASTURBATED
ON R TRAIN IN
SUNSET PARK
Police are looking to identify a man
they say masturbated on a train in the
Sunset Park area.
According to cops, on Thursday,
April 26 at around 10 p.m., a man
sat down across from a 24-year-old
woman on the northbound “R” train
as it approached the 53rd Street station
and began masturbating as he
stared at her. He then fled the scene
in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a
male white, around 50 years old, 170
pounds and 5’9”. He was last seen
wearing a white shirt, tan pants,
brown jacket, blue and white shoes,
and a brown hat.

62ND PRECINCT
The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and
Gravesend.
STAB AND RUN: A 38-year-old man was stabbed and robbed of
hundreds of dollars by two men on 84th Street between 19th and
20th Avenues on Tuesday, May 1. Reports say that at around, 2
p.m., the perps, described to be in their mid-30s, approached the
man and demanded money. When the victim refused, one of the
suspects allegedly stabbed him with an unknown blunt object.
The two perps then shoved the victim to the floor, went through
his pockets and stole $200 before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The victim was transferred to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn
to treat a puncture wound to the abdomen. No arrests have been
made.
MAN BUSTED FOR BLUNT OBJECT ATTACK: A 37-year-old man
was arrested for allegedly striking a 25-year-old man in the back
with a blunt object at 71st Street and 21st Avenue on Sunday, April
29 at around 10 p.m. The victim sustained injuries to his back, wrist
and hand.
BURGLARY BUST: Three suspects were arrested for burglarizing
a home on 82nd Street between 14th and 15th Avenues on Saturday,
May 5. According to reports, at around 12 a.m., the trio, a 26-yearold
man, a 37-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old woman, broke
into the home and stole electronics. When apprehended, cops say,
the suspects were in possession of the stolen property, as well as
a controlled substance and a knife. The female suspect alleged
resisted handcuffing by laying on her hands and kicking her legs.
68TH PRECINCT
The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.
NOT SO FANTASTIC FOUR: Four men brutally attacked a 21-year-old man near 11th
Avenue and 62nd Street on Thursday, May 3. According to reports, at around 2:15 a.m.,
the victim was standing outside when the attackers exited a vehicle, approached him and
started to attack him. One of them punched him in the face and hit him over the head with
a black menu board. The other perp hit him in the left side of his head with a baseball bat.
Following the beating, the attackers fled in the vehicle, which was driven by an unknown
woman, southbound on 62nd Street towards 12th Avenue. No arrests have been made.
TAKE OUT: Thousands of dollars were stolen from an Asian restaurant at the corner of
Third Avenue and 73rd Street on Thursday, May 4. Reports claim that at around 11:20 a.m.,
the burglar broke into the eatery through the back door. Once inside, he stole $200 from
the cash register and around $2,000 from a counter drawer. He then fled the scene in an
unknown direction. No arrests have been made.
JUMPING AND SCREAMING: An unknown man damaged another man’s vehicle on
Thursday, May 4 in a fit of road rage at Fourth Avenue and Shore Road. Cops say that the
25-year-old victim said the other man cut him off around 7 a.m., then got out of his car and
the two got into an argument. The perp then allegedly jumped on the front of the victim’s
car, kicking the roof and front windshield, damaging the vehicle. The unknown perp fled
the scene and no arrests have been made.
SUSPICIOUS BURGLARY: An apartment on 88th Street between Battery Avenue and Parrott
Place was burglarized on Thursday, May 4 while its occupant, a 29-year-old woman,
was at work. According to the police, at 7 p.m., the victim left for work. When she returned
home hours later, she saw that a burglar had broken in through the rear window and
stolen $175, keys to a Mercedes and a set of keys to the home. The victim suspects that her
ex-boyfriend committed the crime. No arrests have been made.
