POLICE SEARCH FOR
TWO SUSPECTS
WANTED FOR NEARLY
SEVEN BURGLARIES

Police are searching for two
suspects they believe to be involved
in a series of burglaries
and attempted burglaries that have
occurred in various portions of
southwest Brooklyn
The two have been linked to seven
different incidents within the
confines of the 66th, 68th and 72nd
Precincts.
According to cops, on Tuesday,
May 30 at around 4:30 a.m., one of
the suspects broke into Hot Space,
774 51st Street, by breaking open
the basement door, but fled without
stealing anything.
On Monday, June 3 at around 4:25
a.m., cops say the same individual
broke into DCPLZZ Seafood, 770 59th
Street, by breaking the security gate,
lifting it up and walking through
the unlocked door. The crook stole
around $2,000 in cash from the register
as well as beer.
On Thursday, June 8, at around
2:40 a.m., the same suspect tried to
enter Wellcare Adult Day Care Inc.,
5515 Seventh Avenue, according
to the police, by forcing the front
door with a hard object. A female
suspect acted as a lookout during
the incident. Neither was able to
break through and no property
was stolen.
On Thursday, June 8, also at
around 2:40 a.m., cops say the duo
tried unsuccessfully to break into
Happy Family Grocery Inc. 5402 B
Seventh Avenue, by breaking the
electronic gate and front door with
an unknown object. The female
suspect acted as a lookout during
the incident.
Then, on Sunday, June 11 at around
3:58 a.m., according to police, the
male suspect broke into Hotpot, 811
53rd Street, by breaking the front
gate, and stole $8,000 from the cash
register. The woman acted as a lookout
during this incident.
In addition, cops say that on Tuesday,
June 20 at around 5 a.m., the man
broke into Mr. Q's, 5302A Eighth Avenue,
by breaking the kitchen door.
The man then stole $2,900 in cash
from register, as well as beer and an
iPad mini.
Finally, on Thursday, June 15 at
around 5:45 a.m., cops believe the
suspect broke into Shogun Sushi,
6201 11th Avenue, through the rear
kitchen door. Once inside, the man
stole around $360 in cash from the
cash register. The man then left the
location through the rear door.
One of the suspects is described as
a dark-skinned man, seen wearing
red sneakers and a hoodie.
The second is a female who was
seen with a duffel bag over her shoulders
and her hair in bun.

MAN ATTACKED FOR PHONE:
A man was assaulted and robbed
while walking along 67th Street
between Ridge Boulevard and
Third Avenue on Wednesday,
July 5. Reports say that at around
3:25 a.m., several men in their
20s approached the victim and
demanded his phone. When the
man refused, he was hit in the
head with an unknown object,
while the perps grabbed the
phone and fled the scene in an
unknown direction. The victim
sustained cuts to the head. No
arrests have been made.
CROOK ATTEMPTS TO ROB
MAN AT KNIFE POINT: A victim
was held at knife point and nearly
robbed at a social club at 13th Avenue
and 67th Street on Wednesday,
July 5. According to reports,
at around 10:45 a.m., the perp
entered the building, took out a
knife and demanded the victim
give him money. Realizing it was
a robbery, the victim ran outside
through the rear of the building
while the suspect fled the location
southbound on 13th Avenue then
westbound on Ovington Avenue.
Nothing was stolen.
CROOK NABS PURSE AT DEPARTMENT
STORE: A woman
had her purse and wallet stolen
while shopping in a department
store at Fourth Avenue and 86th
Street on Monday, July 3 between
7 p.m. and 8 p.m. According to
reports, an unknown perp stole
the purse and wallet which the
victim had left underneath her
baby stroller when she stepped
away to make a purchase. No
arrests have been made.
The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst,
Bath Beach and Gravesend.
CROOK STEALS WALLET FROM
PARKED CAR: A 23-year-old man had his
car broken into after parking it near 14th
Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway on Sunday,
July 2. Reports say that when he parked
the car, the victim forgot to lock the doors.
While he was gone, an unknown crook
opened the door to the car, went inside
and stole his wallet containing several debit
and credit cards, from the vehicle’s glove
compartment. When the man returned at
around 7 a.m., he realized the items were
missing. No arrests have been made.
WOMAN CAUGHT FOR ATTEMPTED
BURGLARY: A 39-year-old woman was
arrested for attempting to burglarize a
60-year-old woman’s apartment on Bay
Ridge Parkway between 20th and 21st Avenues
on Saturday, July 1. Reports say that
around 6:30 p.m., the alleged perp broke
into the residence through the rear door
using a pair of scissors. The woman was
later arrested on burglary charges.
PEACEMAKER GETS ATTACKED: A
31-year-old man was attacked by a male
perp while trying to play peacemaker and
stop a fight near Kings Highway and West
Eighth Street on Sunday, July 2. Reports
say that at around 3:45 a.m., the man tried
to break up the fight when the attacker
grabbed an unknown object and cut him
on the left side of the neck. The victim
called police from Coney Island Hospital.
No arrests have been made.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ATTACKING
90-YEAR-OLD: A 45-year-old woman
was arrested for allegedly assaulting a
90-year-old woman inside an apartment
building on 70th Street between 18th and
19th Avenues on Monday, June 26. According
to reports, at around 6:55 p.m., the
victim was standing in the hallway when
the alleged perp came home and pushed
her to the floor, resulting in injuries to her
left shoulder and both of her knees.
