COPS RECOVER CAR
THAT DROVE OFF
69TH STREET PIER IN
BAY RIDGE
On Thursday, November 9, three
days after the incident, cops recovered
the car and body of the driver
that crashed into the water off of
the 69th Street Veterans Memorial
Pier .
According to authorities, NYPD
scuba divers recovered a Black Toyota
Rav 4 from the water at around
12:45 p.m. The driver, a 54-year-old
male Hispanic, was found dead
inside the car. Police sources have
labeled the occurrence an apparent
suicide.
The identity of the deceased has
not been released, pending proper
family notification.
The medical examiner will determine
the cause of death. The investigation
is ongoing.
The car crashed into the water on

WHEEL BAD LUCK: Cops arrested
a 29-year-old man on criminal possession
of a controlled substance
at Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street on
Thursday, November 2. Cops say
that at around 9:20 a.m., the alleged
perp was trying to remove a booted
wheel from his vehicle. When
cops arrived, they saw a crushed
pill on the center console in plain
view. Cops say he also had a forged
disability permit.
EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN
SINK: A perp destroyed a sink
at a chain sandwich restaurant at
54th Street and Second Avenue on
Monday, November 6. According to
reports, at around 3 p.m., surveillance
video showed the perp, who is
believed to be around 30, enter the
bath at the eatery and tear the sink
from the wall. Damages are over
$250. No arrests have been made.
7K HEIST: A 49-year-old woman
had over $7,000 worth of property
stolen on Tuesday, October 31 when
her apartment was broken into
by an unknown burglar. Reports
claim that after the victim left
home at around 11 a.m., the crook
broke the front door using tools.
Afterwards, he kicked the door
open, stole $5,000, plus electronics
and jewelry, and fled the scene in
an unknown direction. No arrests
have been made.

The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach
and Gravesend.
CASH TO GO: A burglar broke into a deli at 16th Avenue
and 86th Street and stole $10,900 on Sunday, November 11.
According to police, at around 12 a.m., the crook broke the
front glass door with a rock, entered the establishment, took
the cash and then fled the scene southbound on 16th Avenue.
No arrests have been made.
STARTING YOUNG: Two boys, 12 and 15, were apprehended
by cops for hitting and robbing a 19-year-old woman at West
10th Street and Avenue P on Saturday, November 11. Report
claims that at around 7:50 p.m., she was approached by the
alleged perps, one of whom grabbed her arm and demanded
money. When the woman told them she had no money, the
perps demanded her cellphone. The victim refused and the
perps responded by punching her in the face, giving her a
bloody nose. Shortly after they fled the scene, cops apprehended
the two.
KNIFEPOINT ROBBERY: A 29-year-old man was held at
knifepoint and robbed of cash by three men in an apartment
building near Shore Parkway and 21st Lane on Saturday, November
11. According to reports, at around 9:30 p.m., the three
perps approached the victim in the lobby and confronted
the victim. One of the crooks took out a knife, and placed it
on his neck while another perp stole $300 from his pocket.
The three then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No
arrests have been made.
SPRAYED: A 53-year-old man was arrested for assault after
spraying a shopper with mace inside a clothing store at 68th
Street and 18th Avenue on Sunday, November 12. Reports
claim that at around 5 p.m., the alleged attacker approached
the man and sprayed the chemical on him.
DRIVEN TO ASSAULT: A 44-year-old woman was arrested
by cops for attacking her 62-year-old boyfriend with a steel
cup on Bay Ridge Parkway between 20th and 21st Avenues on
Tuesday, November 7. According to reports, the victim was
driving when his girlfriend allegedly grabbed a steel coffee
mug from the car and struck him in the face with it.
The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker
Heights and Fort Hamilton.
FAKED OUT: Two men, 39 and 29, from 94th Street between
Shore Road and Marine Avenue were victims of
grand larceny after an unknown perp stole over $9,000
from them on Thursday, November 2. According to reports,
the victims claim they wired around $9,450 to an
unknown auto broker for a vehicle. They arranged to
meet the perp to get the car, but no one showed up. No
arrests have been made.
CRAIGSLIST CROOK: An unknown perp tricked a
44-year-old woman from 86th Street between 11th and
12th Avenues out of $1,400 on Sunday, November 5.
Reports claim that the victim agreed to sell her iPhone
to the perp via Craigslist. They met for the exchange,
and the victim later discovered that the money given to
her was counterfeit. No arrests have been made.
DEBIT DEBACLE: According to the police, a perp made
several unauthorized charges on a debit card that was
still in the victim's possession. According to police, the
victim, who lives on 71st Street between Narrows Avenue
and Colonial Road, reported on Saturday, October
28 that five unauthorized checking account charges
totaling $1,012 had been made although the victim was
in possession of the debit card. No arrests have been
made.
CARD SHARK: According to cops, an unknown perp
made charges on a credit card that a 70-year-old woman
lost on Third Avenue between 92nd and 93rd Streets on
Thursday, November 9. Reports claim that after she lost
her wallet, she received notifications from her bank
than unapproved transactions of $849 had been made.
TAKen A RIDE: A car parked on Colonial Road between
88th Street and 89th Street was stolen after its owner, a
40-year-old man, left it parked for 15 hours overnight.
According to reports, when the man returned at 9:50
a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, the vehicle was missing.
No arrests have been made.
