BROOKLYN MEDIA GROUP JANUARY 6 - JANUARY 12, 2017 35 PYO Falcons tower over Chiefs, 32-10 BY ROBERT CAVALIERE BAM! It didn’t take long for Jadin “Ice Man” Goodman to set the tempo of the engagement between the Parkville Youth Organization Falcons and the Chiefs. On the opening kickoff he returned, the Falcon player made an awesome charge down field that no one could stop. The only thing that could stop him was entering the end zone to draw first blood. A two-point conversion failed and the Falcons held a six-point advantage. The Chiefs failed to capitalize on their possession. In fact, they lost the ball on an attempted pass and Goodman made a slick interception for the Falcons. On their second play, they were cashing in on Goodman’s interception with another touchdown. Edwin Perez took the snap, handed it to Goodman and it was all over but the shouting. They also got the extra point, bringing the tally to 13-zip. The Chiefs took possession and began a grueling march down field with fierce opposition from the “Ice Man,” Sean O’Brien, Luka Chackhiani and Damien Santana. This drive went into the second quarter when Sami Sarsour took the snap, handed to Soloman “The Warrior” Mercado and the Chiefs hit the boards. Andrew “A-Train” Echevarria made the two-point conversion, setting the score at 13-8, Falcons. On the next kickoff, the Chiefs scored a two-point safety, making it 13- 10. But the Falcons came back hard with new determination. Goodman made a first down, then Rubin “TNT” Perez handed to Sean O’Brien who forced himself up the middle to pay dirt. Then, Goodman got the point after, increasing the Falcon lead to 20-10. There was no more scoring till the second half when the “Ice Man” faked left and went right to golden soil. O’Brien went in again, putting the final tally at 32-10, Falcons. The scoring was largely one-sided but many gave 100 percent to make this one heck of a ball game. Outstanding players included Joseph Negron, Luka “Bone Crusher” Tsituashuili, Ronan Connelly and Steven Navarro on the Chiefs and Damien Santana, Justice Castro, Isaiah Rosado, Andrew “Mad Dog” Kashman and Chackhiani on the Falcons.
