Cops are looking to identify the
suspect they say attempted to rob a
passerby on the border of Boro Park and
Bensonhurst on Saturday, January 27.
According to authorities, who on Friday,
February 16 issued an alert on the
alleged perp, the man in question is said
to have approached a 58-year-old man
in front of 1419 61st Street, displayed a
firearm and demanded money.
Cops say the unidentified suspect
then struck the victim with the firearm
before fleeing empty-handed westbound
on 61st Street.
The alleged incident occurred at
around 3:43 p.m. The victim suffered a
laceration to his head and was treated
on scene.
The suspect is described as a black
man, 20 to 25 years old, standing at
5’7” and weighing approximately 160
pounds. He was last seen wearing a
black hooded jacket and dark colored
jeans.

FOR SUSPECT
WHO ALLEGEDLY
GROPED WOMAN
IN BAY RIDGE
Cops are still seeking a man
they say groped a woman in the
Bay Ridge area in November of
last year.
The NYPD, which sent out a media
alert on Thursday, February
15, stated that at around 9 a.m. on
Sunday, November 17, the suspect
approached a 25-year-old woman
who was walking near 86th Street
and Gatling Place and slapped and
squeezed her buttocks. The woman
then approached the alleged
perp and took photos of him on
her cell-phone.
The man is described as white,
approximately 5'10" tall with a
slim build, light complexion,
black hair, brown eyes and hair
on his chin. He was last seen in
a red hooded sweatshirt, gray
pants and black sneakers.

72ND PRECINCT 62ND PRECINCT
The 72nd Precinct serves Sunset Park, Greenwood
Heights, Windsor Terrace and South Park Slope.
PERP SHOOTS AT CAR SERVICE DRIVER: A 28-yearold
male car service driver had his vehicle shot at near
Second Avenue and 40th Street by a masked perp who
stole several items from the car before fleeing the scene in
another vehicle on Sunday, February 20. Reports say that
at around 12:45 a.m., while the driver was going to pick
up a passenger, a black Hyundai Sonata cut him off. One
masked perp got out of the driver's seat and, using a rifle,
fired four gunshots into the passenger side windshield and
one into the front tire. The perp then removed property
from the victim’s vehicle, telling him that there were three
additional armed individuals in the car. The perps then
fled eastbound on 40th Street. No arrests have been made.
RESISTING ARREST: A 33-year-old man was arrested for
attempting to attack a cop after resisting arrest at Fifth Avenue
and 61st Street on Wednesday, February 14. According
to reports, at around 2:10 a.m., officers found the alleged
perp behind the wheel of a car unconscious with the keys in
ignition, the engine running and his foot on the accelerator.
They tried several times to awaken the man, who eventually
vomited and opened his windows. Once he exited the vehicle,
he refused the commands of the officers and placed his
hands on his waist. The suspect then allegedly attempted to
punch one officer and refused to be handcuffed, swinging
his arms. After the arrest, cops say, they discovered one
small bag of white powder in his possession.
The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath
Beach and Gravesend.
MAN ATTACKED OVER JACKET: A 34-year-old man
was attacked and nearly robbed of his jacket and wallet
while walking home on 66th Street between 20th and
21st Avenues on Thursday, February 15. Reports say
that at around 7:50 p.m., the victim was cursed out by
another man who crossed the street and started yelling
expletives at him before punching him in the face
and trying to yank his jacket off of him before fleeing
westbound on 66th Street. The victim was treated at
Coney Island Hospital. No arrests have been made.
COPS BUST PHARMACY THIEF: A 50-year-old man
was busted by officers after trying to steal from a
pharmacy near Kings Highway and West 11th Street
on Wednesday, February 14. According to reports,
at around 2:30 p.m., when he was approached by an
employee who had seen him shoplifting, he allegedly
pushed him.
FRYING PAN ATTACK: A 53-year-old man was arrested
after striking his 29-year-old girlfriend with
a frying pan inside an apartment near 65th Street
and West Fourth Street on Thursday, February 15.
Reports claim that at around 4:35 a.m., the two were
fighting and the woman tried to leave, whereupon
her boyfriend allegedly grabbed the pan and hit her
on the forehead, resulting in injuries.
68TH PRECINCT
The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge,
Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.
MAN ARRESTED FOR CAT NAP: A man
was arrested for breaking into a woman’s
home at Senator Street and Fourth Avenue,
where he proceeded to fall asleep, on Monday,
February 12. According to reports, the victim
saw the unknown man in the basement of her
home and notified police.
2X4: A man was arrested after he allegedly
struck another man with a wooden 2 x 4 at
71st Street and Eighth Avenue on Saturday,
February 17. According to the police, the two
men were arguing when the suspect allegedly
grabbed the piece of wood and hit the victim
in the back of the head with it. The victim
declined medical attention at the time of the
incident.
COPS BUST DRIVER WHO HAD CONTROLLED
SUBSTANCE: A man was arrested
for possession of a controlled substance on
Thursday, February 15 after cops stopped
his car because of an obstructed license
plate. Police say they discovered a controlled
substance inside his vehicle in plain view. A
warrant check revealed that the driver had
an active warrant, according to cops.
