C R Y D E R P O I N T NOVEMBER 12 Cryder Point Photo of the Month Congratulations to Jaclyn Rubin, this month’s Photo of the Month winner! BY JILL DAVIS We had four residents submit pictures , which is very exciting and shows that folks are really getting into the spirit of showing off their photographic talents (as well as our gorgeous views). The runners-up this month are Alice Cohen, Marsha Gellert and Brett Siegel. Thank you all for sharing your beautiful shots. But wait…there’s more…Steve, one of the talented art directors at the Queens Courier (and a judge for the Cryder submissions) told me he likes the pictures so much he wants to put them in the weekly Courier under “Queens Snaps.” He’s not only going to use our monthly winner’s photos but also many of the other great pictures that are sent in, including previous submissions (with photo credit, of course!). Steve likes to be mysterious and he won’t tell me whose photo will appear when, so you’ll just have to check out the Courier each week to see whose picture is featured. So to all of you who haven’t participated yet, here’s your path to fame (sorry, no fortune!). Our gorgeous new promenade and the bridge. Doesn’t get much better than that! Photo by Jaclyn Rubin This is like a two-for-one sale! Photo by Marsha Gellert Even under cloudy skies, the bridge is beautiful. Photo by Alice Cohen Contest rules: The photographer must be a resident of Cryder Point, and all photos must of the property or of a view from the property. They also must be current, that is, taken no more than a couple of months before you submit them--we don’t want to see pictures with the old balconies, for example. Any description of where you were on the property, the day of week or time of day…any details that you can provide which bring your neighbors into the moment of the photo…are eagerly welcomed. Submit your pictures to [email protected] and yours might be selected to be featured in the paper. Please be sure to put “Cryder Point Photo” in the subject line of your email and include the full name of the photographer and an approximate date of the picture.
