Cops are hoping to identify the
woman they say stole an 86-year-old’s
purse inside a Key Food at 319 Kings
Highway late last month.
According to authorities, just
before 6 p.m. on Sunday, December
24, the elderly woman accidentally
left her black handbag – which contained
$6,200 in cash – on a freezer
case; shortly thereafter, cops say, an
unidentified woman was caught on
camera snatching it and leaving the
supermarket.
The suspect is said to be a white
woman anywhere from 45 to 55
years old. She is further described as
being five feet seven inches tall and
weighing approximately 180 pounds
with a heavy build, light complexion
and blonde hair. She was last seen
wearing a black jacket, black shirt,
blue jeans and brown shoes.

62ND PRECINCT
The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend.
MAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT OVER $4: A 29-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint while
walking along 77th Street between 16th and 17th Avenues on Thursday, January 4 around 11:55
p.m. Reports claim that the victim was walking along the sidewalk, when a man, described
to be around 20 years old, asked him if he had change for a $5 bill. The crook then took out a
black gun and told the victim to empty his pockets. The perp fled southbound on New Utrecht
Avenue having stolen just $4. No arrests have been made.
NOT SO SPECIAL DELIVERY: A 55-year-old man delivering food near 20th Avenue and Shore
Parkway was attacked and robbed by three men on Thursday, January 3 at around 8:20 p.m.
According to the police, the victim was making the delivery when the trio threw him to the
ground and punched him. The men then stole his phone, car keys and $400 before fleeing the
scene on foot. No arrests have been made.
GUN WIELDING THIEF STEALS BACKPACK: A 27-year old man had his backpack containing
$100 snatched outside a deli at 77th Street and New Utrecht Avenue by a man holding a gun
on Thursday, January 4. According to reports, the perp approached the victim as he exited
the deli and demanded all of his money. The crook then grabbed the backpack and fled in an
unknown direction No arrests have been made.
BOYFRIEND ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGES: A 27-year-old man was arrested for
assaulting his 33-year-old girlfriend inside an apartment near Bay 19th Street and Benson
Avenue on Sunday, January 7. Reports claim that at around 4:10 a.m., the alleged perp choked
and punched the woman several times. The victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment.
BAD SAMARITAN: A 64-year-old man had his phone stolen after asking a man to take a photo
of him with his cellphone at 21st Avenue and 71st Street on Wednesday, January 3 at around
5 p.m. Cops say that, once given the phone, the perp fled the scene with it in an unknown
direction. No arrests have been made.
68TH PRECINCT
The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and
Fort Hamilton.
RESTAURANT BURGLARIZED: A burglar broke into a restaurant
at 65th Street and 11th Avenue and stole around $600 on
Monday, January 1. According to reports, at around 6:50 a.m.,
the unknown crook broke into the eatery by cutting the locks
on the basement entrance. Once inside, the perp broke the stock
room closet door and two registers before stealing the cash. No
arrests have been made.
NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED: A 33-year-old man
was robbed by three crooks near 97th Street and Shore Road
on Sunday, December 31. Reports claim that at around 6:40 p.m.,
one of the three perps, a woman known to the victim, contacted
him, and asked him to meet her and give her $20. When they
met, the woman was accompanied by another perp. While the
two distracted him, a third perp approached him from across
the street. The trio then said, “Now that we have $20, give us
everything else you got.” After the victim said he had nothing
else, one of the perps grabbed his neck from behind and cut his
hand with an unknown weapon. The three then fled eastbound
on 97th Street in a white van. No arrests have been made.
MISSING VAN: A van containing around $27,000 worth of
plumbing tools was stolen from a driveway near Fourth Avenue
and 79th Street sometime between Sunday, December 31 at
around 2 p.m. and Monday, January 1 around 7 p.m. According
to reports, the victim stated that he doesn’t have a set of keys
to the van and his worker does. No arrests have been made.
MAN SHOT TWICE
DURING ROBBERY IN
SUNSET PARK
A 25-year-old man took two bullets
during a robbery in Sunset Park.
According to police, on Monday,
January 8 at around 10:15 p.m., the
victim was inside his car near 45th
Street and Seventh Avenue when two
men approached him. One of them
demanded that he open the trunk
of the vehicle, while the other perp
stole the victim’s backpack, valued at
around $20, from the backseat of the
car, then took out a gun and shot the
man twice in the torso. The duo then
fled the location.
The suspects are described as a
white male and a black male.
EMS rushed the victim NYU Langone
Hospital- Brooklyn where he is
currently listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.
