O MY! PURRlentine's Day...
purrz 'n canoodling. O MY! Hearty
head butting, mushy nags, and affection,
all in the name of kitty cat love
'n power!
This, the mushiest holiday on the
planet, inspires heart connections
when pups and kitties bask in the
loving adopt-me energy. But, always
do your homework BEFORE adopting
a pet. It is a life-long, 15-20 year
commitment of financial and pet
care responsibility.
It might seem like a romantic
gesture, giving an adorable kitty or
cute-as-a-button puppy to an unsuspecting
human companion on the
sweetest of holidays...BUT a pet is
NOT a gift.
You do not wind it up. You do not
put it in the closet, nor toss it on
the couch as a decorative pillow. It
has feelings, sharp teeth, a hungry
tummy and bodily functions that
need tending to.
Please visit IttyBittyKittyNY and
meet some of the sweetest, most
adorable and challenging felines
this side of the moon. Your hearts
will melt, your lives will change,

YOU will change...
“Hi, we, Solar and Saturn,
are bonded sisters,
tiger tabbies with beautiful white
faces and paws. We are out of this
world and on a continuous orbit, to
be adopted by far-out pet parents.
We are seeking a mature cat-friendly
household, not only for us, but for
our shelter's playmates.
“Please come over to Bay Ridge,
Brooklyn, and meet the Royals,
Prince Harry and Princess Meghan,
madly in love and very playful, a
solid gray girl and black and white
tuxedo, also Lady Lela Rose (brown
tabby), who is very ladylike and gentle
and loves all of her feline friends.
“Meet Jon Snow (solid Ebony) and
Samson (gray striped) who like to
chill and eat. They would rather be
your one and only adult male companions.
You will enjoy dancing with
Miss Susie Q (black and white cow
cat), who likes to dance to her own
tune and Sunburst (orange male
tabby), a super gentlemen, who enjoy
the company
of other
cats and
playtime.
“And let
us not forget

What an absolute terrific
turnout for the street
co-naming ceremonies in
honor of the late, great
Tom Kane. The block that
Kane grew up on 88th
street near Colonial Road
was formally dedicated
Tom Kane Way and was
even blessed by Reverend
Gerard Sauer, the pastor of
St. Mel's Church, a former associate
pastor at Bay Ridge's St.
Patrick's Church and a personal
friend.
A host of dignitaries were on hand to join
Kane's family, friends and associates on this
auspicious occasion. City Councilmember
Vinnie Gentile -- who ensured the full Council
approved the co-naming, wrote in the program,
"A lifelong Bay Ridge resident, Tom's
tremendous contributions and achievements
left an indelible mark on the community he
loved so much."
Close friend Frankie Marra sang and
played "Forever Young" by Bob Dylan. Kane
was a big, big Dylan fan!
