COPS ARREST THREE
SUSPECTS FOR UMBRELLA
ASSAULT IN SUNSET

A trio of men were arrested on assault
charges Sunday, March 4 for allegedly
punching a man and stabbing him
with an umbrella in the Sunset Park area.
Authorities say that at around 2:10 a.m., a
30-year-old man was outside of a restaurant
near the corner of 41st Street and Fifth Avenue
when the three alleged attackers — Jose
Sosa 39-years old, 35-year-old Juan Hernandez
and 56-year-old Pliar Zenon — allegedly
punched the victim during an altercation and
then struck him with the umbrella.
The alleged attackers were arrested near
the scene.
The victim was taken to NYU Langone
Hospital-Brooklyn for treatment.

WOMAN BUSTED FOR CRACK POSSESSION:
Cops arrested a 28-year-old
women for allegedly possessing crack in
public on the southwest corner of Fourth
Avenue and 57th Street on Thursday,
March 1 at around 9:15 a.m. According
to reports, the woman was seen holding
a glass pipe containing crack residue
before placing it inside her bag.
CROOK THWARTED: A 41-year-old man
was arrested for trying to rob $2,260
worth of clothing from a department
store on 30th Street between Second
and Third Avenues on Thursday, May
1. Reports say that at around 7:15 p.m., a
26-year-old female employee reported
seeing the man attempting to swipe fur
vests worth over $2,000 and leave the
store.
HOME IMPROVEMENT: Cops arrested
a 47-year-old man for attempting to rob a
home improvement chain near Hamilton
Avenue and 19th Street on Friday, March
2. According to reports, at around 11:37
a.m., an arresting officer was told by
a 33-year-old male employee that the
alleged crook had pocketed items valued
at $1,561 and tried to exit without paying.
He was then stopped by the employee.
The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach
and Gravesend.
NOT-SO-SPECIAL DELIVERY: Cops say a 44-year-old
man was delivering Chinese food on West 11th Street between
Avenues S and T when he was attacked and robbed
by three crooks on Tuesday, February 27. According to
reports, at around 8:35 p.m., while making the delivery,
three men approached him. Two of them came from
behind, while the other approached him in the front, according
to authorities. The crooks then allegedly punched
the victim in the face and body and stole $80. Cops say the
alleged crooks then drove away in a dark blue vehicle
going towards Avenue S. No arrests have been made.
ALL ABOARD, ARRESTED: Four suspects were arrested
for allegedly attempting to rob a man aboard a southbound
D train on West Seventh Street and Bay Parkway
on Monday, March 4. Reports claim that at around 2:45
a.m., the victim was sitting on the train when the four
approached him. Two of the alleged perps then sat next
to the man and told him to hand over his money while
the third and fourth alleged crooks stood above him and
intimated him, also demanding money. When the train
pulled into the Bay Parkway station, the victim left the
train and called the cops. The four, who remained on the
train, were apprehended at the Stillwell Avenue station.
No property was stolen.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED: A 38-year-old man was arrested
for attempting to steal clothes at a department store near
Shore Parkway and Bay Parkway on Sunday, March 4.
Reports say that at 3:30 p.m., the alleged crook tried to
take a bunch of clothes and stuff them in his clothing
before trying to leave the store.

MASKED ATTACKERS STRIKE: Cops say a 29-year-old
was attacked and robbed of $585 worth of property by
masked crooks on the southwest corner of 63rd Street
and 11th Avenue on Thursday, March 1. Reports claim at
around 2:30 a.m., the victim was walking towards the
train station when the unknown perps approached him
from behind and hit him in the left ear. The duo then
took the victim’s wallet, money and cellphone and fled
southbound on 11th Avenue towards 64th Street. No
arrests have been made.
BROKEN WINDOW: An unknown perp is wanted for
criminal mischief after breaking the front window of a bar
near Fifth Avenue and 80th Street on Monday, February 26.
According to reports, at around 3:13 a.m., the reporter got
into a verbal argument with the bar patron over serving alcohol.
Authorities say that the perp then became aggressive
and broke the establishment’s window before fleeing in an
unknown location. No arrests have been made.
ROAD RAGE COSTS: Authorities say a 25-year-old man
was arrested on criminal mischief charges after getting
into a verbal dispute on the road with a 24-year-old woman
and damaging her vehicle. According to reports, at
around 6:23 p.m. on Friday, March 2., the victim reported
that she was at the northwest corner of Third Avenue
and 88th Street when she and the alleged perp got into an
argument while in traffic. The alleged attacker is said to
have gotten out of his car and punched the victim’s driver
side mirror. The man also allegedly took out a metal bat
from his car and threatened her with it. No arrests have
been made.
