In attendance were businesspeople from all parts of the borough as well as local politicians, like State Senator Marty Golden, Congressmember Dan Donovan and newly elected Assemblymembers Pamela Harris and Peter Abbate. Travis Lamprecht, there on behalf of Councilmember Vincent Gentile, noted that both the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the local merchants that make a living in Bay Ridge play an important part in Brooklyn’s continuous boom. “The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is all about working with the community, and it’s great to have them here,” he said. “Bay Ridge is certainly a part of Brooklyn’s renaissance, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the neighborhood.” Patrick Condren, executive director of the Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District, and Bob Howe, president of the Merchants of Third Avenue, were also in attendance, and happy to – once again – see their friends at the Chamber utilizing one of Ridge’s own establishments. “We’re always happy to do business with you,” said Condren. The event was sponsored by Ben Bay Realty and featured a special pop up tasting of some of New York’s best craft beverages courtesy of Taste NY.
