THREE MEN HOLD WOMAN AT GUNPOINT: Cops say three men in their mid-twenties held a 24-year-old woman at gunpoint outside her home near 72nd Street and Sixth Avenue on Monday, May 8 after the victim tried to purchase cosmetic products from them. Reports claim that at around 10:09 p.m., the woman met the alleged perps online and planned to meet up outside her home to buy the items. When the men, described by cops as Asian, met up with the victim, one of them allegedly took out a gun, put his hands around her neck and demanded she give them money. After a struggle ensued, cops say, the woman stated that her neighbor was a cop. The perp then let her go, went inside a vehicle and all three fled in an unknown direction. MAN ATTACKED FOR CASH: A 40-year-old man was attacked and robbed by three men while walking along Ovington Avenue Third and Fourth Avenues on Sunday, May 7 at around 10:25 p.m. Reports say that the two crooks, described to be in their early twenties, approached the victim at his side. Two of the three crooks then grabbed him by his jacket and stole his wallet from his pants pocket, snatching $100 cash before fleeing northbound on Fourth Avenue towards 67th Street. No arrests have been made. BURGLARIZED OVER WATER MAIN: Cops say a 40-year-old woman’s home on 66th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues was burglarized on Thursday, May 11. Reports claim that the woman left the house at around 6 p.m. and, while she was gone, a crook entered the home by breaking the basement window and stole a water meter worth around $150. When she returned the following day at around 9 a.m., she notice the damage and missing item. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend. WOMAN ATTACKED BY TWO MEN OVER PHONE: A 35-year-old woman was attacked by two men over her phone while walking home on 71st Street between 16th and 17th Avenues on Wednesday, May 10 at around 10 a.m. Reports say that the victim was walking from the train station when the perps walked up to her, pushed her into a car, causing her glasses to cut her face, and nabbed an iPhone from her hands. The two then fled down 71st Street towards 16th Avenue. TEENS BUSTED DURING ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Two teens were busted for attacking and robbing a 23-year-old man at 17th Avenue and 78th Street on Tuesday, May 9 at around 4:35 p.m. According to reports, the man got into an argument with a 15-year-old female and a 16-year-old male, and told them to leave his store. One of the teens threw him to the floor and dragged him while the other stole a cellphone from his pocket. Cops apprehended the two suspects a few blocks from the alleged crime. MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTACKING MOTHER: A 31-year-old man was arrested for assaulting his 70-year-old mother on Monday, May 8 at around 8 p.m. inside a home on 24th Avenue between Bath and Cropsey Avenues. Police reports claim that after the pair argued over drug abuse, he punched her several times in the head. Cops later apprehended the alleged attacker. GYM RAT STEALS CREDIT CARDS: A 31-year-old man had his wallet and electronics stolen from a gym locker on Sunday, May 7 at around 5:50 p.m. Reports claim that while the man was working out at the gym near 86th Street and 20th Avenue, an unknown crook went into the locker room, picked the lock to the locker and stole the man's possessions before fleeing the scene. The 72nd Precinct serves Sunset Park, Greenwood Heights, Windsor Terrace and South Park Slope. FOUR AGAINST ONE: Four men assaulted and robbed a 35-year-old man of $250 while he was walking along Fifth Avenue near 58th Street on Monday, May 8. According to reports, at around 10:15 p.m., the four unknown perps approached the victim from behind and started punching him in the back. Once he fell to the ground, the crooks continued to hit him. One of the men then took out a knife and stole the victim’s wallet. The four then fled on foot towards Sixth Avenue. The man suffered swelling and scratches to his face and arm. 62-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGES: A 62-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a 52-year-old man with a razor, cane and screwdriver near Fourth Avenue and 61st Street on Tuesday, May 9 at around 6:52 p.m. Reports claim that after the victim got into an argument with the man, the alleged attacker struck him with the wooden cane and slashed his wrist with a razor. As the man was about to lunge at him with a screwdriver, the victim’s 21-year-old son stopped the assailant. Cops later arrested a suspect who the victim claims has been a constant problem near the area. The victim, who sustained cuts to the wrist, was taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center. THIEF BUSTED: A 31-year-old woman was busted for trying to steal around $1,220 worth of merchandise from a department store near 19th Street and Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, May 10. Cops say that at around 1 p.m., the alleged crook tried to walk out of the store with a inverter generator and 100-foot hose. An employee witnessed the potential robbery and stopped her. POLICE BEAT Compiled by Jaime DeJesus TRIO OF ATTEMPTED ROBBERS INJURE TWO BUT LEAVE EMPTY-HANDED IN DYKER Cops say a man and woman were injured by a trio of attempted robbers in the vicinity of Seventh Avenue and 72nd Street in Dyker Heights last week. Police say that on Monday, May 8, at approximately 10 p.m., the three men approached the home of one of the victims, a 24-year-old woman, and knocked on the door. As soon as she opened the door, one of the perps then allegedly grabbed her by the neck, aimed a firearm at her abdomen and demanded cash. When the victim’s male friend attempted to intervene, he sustained lacerations to his head, neck and face. The trio then fled the area without taking any property from the victims. Two of the suspects are said to be Asian men, approximately 25 to 30 years of age and 6'0" and 6'3", respectively. The third is said to be about 25 years old, and 5'7".
