COPS ARREST TWO
SUSPECTS WANTED
IN ATTEMPTED
KIDNAPPING OF TEEN
Cops have arrested two suspects
in connection with the attempted
kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl in
the South Slope area.
Sixty-year-old Boerum Hill resident
Raymond Ortiz and 33-year-old
Gravesend resident Delgria Lynch
were arrested during the evening
hours of Friday, September 29.
On Friday, September 22 at
around 2:40 p.m. on 19th Street
between Seventh and Eighth Avenues,
the teen was approached by
the alleged suspects in a black vehicle.
After the female suspect talked
to the victim, the male perp, who
was the driver, exited the vehicle,
grabbed the teen’s arm and tried to
pull her into the car. However, the
teen was able to break free of his
grip and fled the location.
Ortiz and Lynch have been charged
with attempted kidnapping in the
second degree, act in a manner injurious
to a child and harassment in the
second degree.

OVER $1K OF TECH STOLEN FROM
CAR: An unknown crook stole over $1,000
worth of electronics from a vehicle parked
on Colonial Road between 88th and 89th
Streets on Monday, September 25. According
to reports, a 40-year-old man left his
car parked there on Sunday, September
24. When he returned, about 12 hours
later, the gear — totaling around $1,330 —
was missing. There was no sign of forced
entry. No arrests have been made.
MISSING MOTORCYCLE: A 20-year-old
had his motorcycle stolen on Tuesday,
September 26 after parking it on 65th
Street between Third and Fourth Avenues
the previous day. Around 11 hours
later, he returned to discover it was missing.
No arrests have been made.
MISSING CHECKING ACCOUNT: A
53-year-old man from Madeline Court was
the victim of over $2,000 worth of unauthorized
transactions. According to a report
made to the police on Sunday, September
24, unknown perps made the illegal transactions
from the victim's checking account
while he still had possession of his debit
card. No arrests have been made.
69-YEAR-OLD HAS NEARLY $2K STOLEN:
Unknown crooks withdrew approximately
$1,800 from the bank account of
a 69-year-old man who lives on Bay Ridge
Parkway between Narrows Avenue and
Colonial Road on Monday, September 25.
According to reports, the victim still had
his bank card. No arrests have been made.
The 72nd Precinct serves Sunset Park, Greenwood
Heights, Windsor Terrace and South
Park Slope.
INTERNET CAFE ATTACK: A 26-year-old man
was busted by officers and charged with assault
for attacking a man at an internet café near 58th
Street and Eighth Avenue on Thursday, September
28. Reports claim that at around 2:40 a.m., the
victim was using one of the computers when the
alleged perp punched him in the face several times,
resulting in cuts to his eye. The victim was taken to
a local hospital.
FOUR TEENS ATTACK WOMAN AND TEEN: A
41-year-old woman and a 15-year-old female teen
were attacked and robbed by three female and one
male teen on the southeast corner of Fourth Avenue
and 44th Street on Wednesday, September 27. According
to reports, at around 3:50 p.m., the two were
walking from a local school when the male perp told
the older victim that the group wanted to hit the
younger victim. When the older woman intervened,
she was punched in the face and attacked by all four
perps. She fell to the ground and the four continued
to hit her in the face and body. One of the attackers
stole the woman’s cellphone and the four then fled
northbound towards Fourth Avenue and made a
left onto 43rd Street. No arrests have been made.
BEHIND THE EIGHT BALL: Four male perps were
arrested for robbing a billiards hall and five men
inside on Wednesday, September 27. Reports say
that at around 11:38 p.m., one of the four perps was
a lookout while one armed with an alleged pistol
and another with a knife in hand entered the establishment,
located near Seventh Avenue and
51st Street, and stole $500 from the cash register
and thousands of dollars of property from the
victims inside the venue. The perps then fled in an
unknown direction.

MAN BUSTED FOR TRYING TO STEAL FLOWERS: A 21-yearold
man was arrested on robbery charges on Sunday, October
1 after holding a 31-year-old man at knifepoint near 86th Street
and 20th Avenue and trying to steal his flowers. According to
reports, at around 7:18 p.m., the alleged perp approached the
victim with the weapon in hand and told him to give him his
flowers.
COSTLY CHECK-OUT: A 19-year-old man was arrested for
attempting to rob a deli near Bay Ridge Avenue and 20th Avenue
on Sunday, October 1. Reports claim that at around 9:53
a.m., the alleged crook entered the establishment, pushed a
49-year-old male employee to the ground and stole $300 from
the cash register.
HUSBAND ARRESTED FOR STABBING WIFE WITH PEN: A
27-year-old man was arrested for assault for poking his 26-yearold
wife with a pen at Bay Parkway and 80th Street on Monday,
September 25. According to reports, the alleged attacker had
gotten into a dispute with his wife before he grabbed the pen
and started poking at her forearm, resulting in bruising.
INK THIEF BUSTED: A 43-year-old man was busted by cops
for stealing ink cartridges from a warehouse club near Shore
Parkway and Bay 38th Street on Tuesday, September 26. According
to reports, the alleged crook took the property, worth
$1,140, placed them in his bag and fled the store.
63-YEAR-OLD MAN SCAMMED OUT OF $8K: A 63-yearold
man who lives near Bay Parkway and Benson Avenue
was tricked out of $8,000 by an unknown crook via phone on
Wednesday, September 27. Reports claim that at around 5 p.m.,
the perp called the victim, stated he worked for an unknown
computer company and claimed that he had remote access to
the victim's computer. The perp told the victim to go to Best
Buy and purchase $10,000 in gift cards. The victim was able to
buy $8,000 worth and gave the perp the numbers. No arrest
has been made.
