We asked LeFrak City residents what they were most looking
forward to as the summer draws to a close and the fall begins.
Here are their answers.

Ana - “I’m excited to see the new trends for fall.
I’m studying fashion design at high school and I
hope to attend Fashion Institute of Technology
next year. I think red and orange will be huge for
next season.”
Angel is looking forward to a new season of baseball.
“I play for about fi ve teams all over the boroughs.
I love it!”
Angelica was taking her children to the LeFrak
City playground and said she is most looking
forward to having “a little time to myself” when
the children head back to school.
Kamola is looking forward to going back to her
studies at LaGuardia Community College “I’m
training to be a nurse!”
Tabata is from Venezuela and has recently enjoyed
her fi rst summer in New York, staying in
LeFrak City. “I am excited to see what the fall will
bring me in this amazing city.”
Mohammed is going into the eighth grade this
fall and can’t wait to catch up with the friends
he’s missed this summer.
Pia said that she’s excited for the fall to arrive so
that she can fi nally break out her favorite sweaters
and boots!
Stephane said that he’s itching to start playing
basketball again: “It’s the best part about
school!”

LeFrak City Construction update
Th e entire Courtyard (West/Center/East) will
be fully open by early fall.
• East Courtyard pool opened on Aug.
25. The pool is scheduled to be open
through the weekend of Sept. 16-17.
• Center Courtyard will be nearing completion
mid-September
• Center Courtyard playground will finished
by early October
Parking Areas:
• Parking Area Q: Garage construction
scheduled to be completed by Sept. 18.
• Parking Area F: Garage demolition has begun
and completion is expected June 2018.
