Jeffrey Nelson NYCEDC Jeffrey Nelson is the Executive Vice President for the Real Estate Transaction Services Group. Jeff oversees a portfolio of NYCEDC-led public-private development projects throughout New York City with a focus on the 125th Street corridor, Financial District, the St. George Waterfront, and Downtown Brooklyn. During his time at NYCEDC, Jeff has closed transactions that comprise over 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use development and have generated in excess of $400 million in proceeds for the City. Alan Suna (Moderator) Silvercup Studios Alan Suna is an architect, real estate developer and co-owner of Silvercup Studios in Long Island City. Silvercup has been home to such popular TV series as 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, Sex and the City and The Sopranos -- movies including The Devil Wears Prada and When Harry Met Sally -- and over 1,000 TV commercials. Current television productions at Silvercup include: CBS’s Person of Interest and Elementary, USA’s White Collar, and HBO’s Girls. Upcoming series will include “The Mysteries of Laura” staring Debra Messing and ABC’s new sitcom, “Love in Manhattan.” Chris Shehadeh Tishman Speyer Mr. Shehadeh joined Tishman Speyer in 2000 and is responsible for the firm’s activities in the New York region, overseeing the acquisition, development, disposition and operations of the New York area portfolio of approximately 22M SF, with 8M SF of development pipeline. During his tenure at Tishman Speyer, he has been responsible for the acquisition, disposition and development of 18M SF, totaling over $12 billion. A member of the Urban Land Institute and the Real Estate Board of New York, he earned a BS in engineering from Boston University, and an MBA in finance from NYU. Eric Benaim (Introduction) Modern Spaces Eric Benaim is Founder of Modern Spaces, the leading real estate brokerage and marketing firm in LIC. In just 5 years, Eric has expanded to offices in LIC, Manhattan, Astoria, and Brooklyn. Modern Spaces has captured 70% of the market share of LIC and has successfully marketed over $1 billion in sales. Eric is a board member of the LIC Partnership.
