Kathryn S. Wylde Partnership for NYC Kathryn Wylde is President and CEO of the nonprofit Partnership for New York City. Ms. Wylde was responsible for developing and managing affordable housing and economic development programs that contributed to the renaissance of blighted urban neighborhoods across the five boroughs. An internationally recognized expert on urban policy, Ms. Wylde has been awarded honorary degrees from Fordham University and St. Francis College and serves on the boards of many nonprofit institutions. Maria Torres-Springer NYCEDC Maria Torres-Springer is the President and CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), leading NYCEDC’s efforts to make New York City the global model for inclusive innovation and economic growth, fueled by the diversity of its people and businesses. Prior to her appointment as President of NYCEDC, Maria served as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS). Maria also served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development & Rebuilding and as the Chief Operating Officer of Friends of the Highline. Elizabeth Lusskin (Moderator) LIC Partnership Elizabeth Lusskin is President of LIC Partnership and Executive Director of the LIC BID. She joined LIC Partnership after serving as Chief of Staff/VP Strategic Initiatives at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, expanding its incubator and entrepreneurship efforts. Previously, she served as Deputy Commissioner, NYC SBS, General Counsel, Downtown Alliance, and Legislative Counsel, NYS Office of Federal Affairs. Howard Zemsky Empire State Development Howard Zemsky is President, CEO & Commissioner of Empire State Development, New York’s chief economic development agency. Born in Brooklyn, he lives in Buffalo, home to his company, the Larkin Development Group. Mr. Zemsky has a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.B.A from the University of Rochester.
