Last chance to participate in
the 2017 ‘Dine in Queens’ event
Th ere’s still time to get your fi ll of borough’s
best dishes during the 2017 “Dine in
Queens” event.
“Dine in Queens,” which is sponsored
by the Queens Economic Development
Corporation (QEDC), brings together over
100 restaurants for the three-week event.
With two weeks down, we are headed into
the homestretch of the fi nal week of this special
event, which will end on Nov. 2.
During “Dine in Queens” the participating
restaurants will off er customers a threecourse
prix-fi xe dinner for $28 and lunch
for $14 (some venues will off er diff erent
deals.).
QEDC created this three-week event as
a way to give diners a chance to visit new
restaurants or try a meal from an eatery they
wouldn’t normally go to. In past years, it has
been a boon to the local economy as many
restaurants welcomed plenty of new customers
to their businesses.
“If you really want to see 10 countries, if
you really want to eat from 10 countries, you
can do it in 20 minutes here in Queens,” said
Queens Borough President Melinda Katz at
the “Dine in Queens” kickoff event at Atlas
Park. “We want to make sure that folks
come here for Dine in Queens, but they also
come back so that we can really have the
true tourism and make sure that folks from
around the world know what Queens has
to off er. You haven’t visited New York City
until you’ve come to Queens.”
