BWG comes out strong in road
games over the weekend

Pool dominated their games last weekend.
On Saturday, Nov. 4, BWG faced
off against an aggressive and athletic
Riverdale team in the fi nal group stage of
the NY Cup at Brennan Field.
Riverdale got on the score sheet with
an early goal, going up 1-0. But the BWG
squad adjusted to the pace of the game
and found their stride. Using their technique
and skill, they kept the team from
the Bronx chasing all game, and went on
to win 9-2, securing a spot in the last eight
of the State.
Also on Saturday, in the 2006 United
States Soccer Federation (USSF) Academy
game, BWG came out victorious over
their rivals Met Oval, 4-0.
On Sunday, Nov. 5, the BWG teams
traveled to Oakwood to play a pair of contests
at Oakwood Park in Connecticut.
Again, their skill and speed of play proved
to be too much for the home team and the
BWG Blue team won 8-2, while the White
team doubled up their opponents 6-3.
St. Agnes girls soccer team
is two-time champions
Th e St. Agnes Academic High School soccer team is the Girls Brooklyn Queens
Catholic High School Athletic Association Tier 3 Champions for the second year
in a row. Th e Blue Angels fi nished the season undefeated in their 12 games with 69
goals scored.
