Schneps Communications, owner of
QNS and a host of other local media outlets
and events, has acquired the BlankSlate
Pages soft ware platform furthering their
investment in the local digital media space.
The solution was acquired from
BlankSlate Factory, the former owner
of Brownstoner, which Schneps
Communications purchased earlier this
year.
BlankSlate Pages is a local marketing
solution that powers mini-sites for businesses
allowing them to be easily found
and promote their businesses online. Pages
is used within guides and directories such
as the services directory on Brownstoner.
“We are thrilled to own a powerful
and effi cient product that is successfully
used by hundreds of small businesses
and thousands of readers to discover
local businesses,” said Josh Schneps, CEO
of Schneps Communications.
Pages allows businesses to create a page
in seconds that is customized to any
screen, provides SEO value, integrated
with social media, include maps, images,
contact forms and lots of others functionality.
In addition to its use on Brownstoner,
Pages is licensed by a diverse group of
publishers and organizations. BlankSlate
Pages will be rebranded by Schneps

Nurturing the human relationship
within his company and with his clients
Danny Nicolo, a 1986 graduate of
Xaverian, a private college preparatory
high school in Brooklyn, pursued
architectural engineering with two years
of undergraduate work at the Pratt
Institute.
During his high school and college
career, he became involved with his
family’s catering business, A&S Italian
Marketplace—a unique Italian specialty
market, butcher, and caterer. Later, from
1989-1997, he continued to dedicate his
time to the business by opening up several
more A&S Italian Marketplace locations
in the Tri-State New York area and
Long Island.
While this was a very prosperous profession,
he was married to the business
and knew he needed more time for his
wife and children—aff ectionately noting
“Health and Family are Everything.”
With the ever-loving support and
encouragement from his father, he was
urged to take a break from A&S and
further pursue his talents. Danny decided
to challenge himself and seek other
opportunities to earn a better quality of
life for him and his family. Th is led him
to start investing all of his savings into
real estate, eventually opening a onemanned
brokerage out of his basement.
He built his early successes on his personal
involvement with customers and
provided service and guidance to them
on a level they would never experience
at larger lenders or fi nancial institutions.
His business started expanding,
and of course, the only answer was to
bring on board people who share the
same passion for personal service and
to create an environment that celebrates
customer satisfaction over sheer profitability.
With grace, respect, and a mentoring
demeanor, he skyrocketed his empire
as president and chief executive offi -
cer of New York-based Meadowbrook
Financial Mortgage Bankers—a full-service
mortgage banker off ering an array
of products, from purchase, to refi nance,
to home renovation lending, and more.
His corporation has since expanded into
multiple locations along the east coast,
and is now licensed in 13 states.
Danny is known as the man who
has made the transition from “Butcher
to Broker to Banker” in the mortgage
industry and continuously demonstrates
the essence of what real leadership
truly means. He now has the wonderful
opportunity to travel and spend
much deserved time with his family—
something he’s always wanted.
Danny is a nurturing and inspiring
leader who has humbly imagined and
conquered.
