Flushing Bank opens two new Universal Banker
model branches in the Flushing community
Flushing Bank recently celebrated the
grand opening of two new Universal
Banker model branches in Flushing, that
off er customers state-of-the-art services.
On November 6, Flushing Bank opened
a location at 164-20 Northern Boulevard
at the entrance to the Flushing community,
and on November 13, opened the newest
branch at 147-42 Northern Boulevard.
“We are repositioning ourselves geographically
to stay current with the
growth and development of the Flushing
market. We are excited to introduce
our new banking model to this community,”
said John R. Buran, President
and Chief Executive Offi cer of Flushing
Bank. “Th ese new locations feature our
Universal Banker model that combines
our highly-skilled staff with our Assisted
Service Kiosk (ASK) ATMs and video
banker services to deliver a high-touch
banking experience. Our video banker
service connects customers, face-to-face,
with personal bankers through a video
chat platform from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Flushing Bank has been a part of this
vibrant community for almost 90 years
and we look forward to building new
banking relationships in the community
for years to come.”
As part of the branch launches, Flushing
Bank introduced a “Flushing Bank <3
Flushing, NY” community-based themed
campaign featuring outdoor advertising
including in bus shelters, on urban panels,
a permanent billboard on Northern
Boulevard, and even a mobile billboard.
Flushing Bank also has brand ambassadors
on the streets of the neighborhood
in high-traffi c locations letting the
public know about the special promotions
the bank has to off er at all of the
Flushing, New York branches, such as a
gift campaign for any consumer checking
accounts opened from mid-September
through the end of the year, and the
attractive rates on their Money Market
account and Certifi cates of Deposit.
During the grand opening celebrations,
Flushing Bank hosted a food truck for
three days at the new locations, where
people were able to stop by and grab a
free lunch. Th e celebration will continue
though for several weeks with an exciting
grand opening sweepstakes, and free gift s
as a thank you for stopping by the new
branches, and entering the sweepstakes.
Th e new Flushing Bank branches have
Assisted Service Kiosk (ASK) ATMs
which are easy to use, save time, provide
security and privacy, and off er preference
customization. Th e ASK ATM can
perform any transaction that a Flushing
Bank Universal Banker or teller can perform,
including withdrawals, cash and
check deposits without the need for envelopes,
check cashing, account inquiries,
and more.
Th e Flushing Bank ASK also features
Video Banker services, providing live
video support at the touch of a screen
from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. By simply
touching the ‘help’ button on the transaction
screen, users can speak face-to-face
with a customer service representative
who can help with everything from simple
transactions and inquiries to PIN and
address changes. As an additional incentive
to try the ASK and video banker services,
Flushing Bank has a usage promotion
which features a free gift each week.
Flushing Bank has been a proud member
of the community since they opened
their fi rst branch on Northern Boulevard
in 1929, and these two new branches are
one way the bank will continue to be a
part of Flushing’s growth and development
for years to come.
