90 Resorts World Casino 7 Visitor Center Redbird Tourist Information Center “Redbird” is the term once related to the 7 train, as its cars were painted deep red to combat graffiti in the 1970s and 1980s. These cars became an iconic symbol of the 7 train, but they were phased out from 2001 to 2003. The last Redbird rode on Nov. 3, 2003. However, one Redbird lives on. The Redbird Tourist Information Center, housed inside a Redbird car from the 1950s, is located on the front lawn of Queens Borough Hall. It is open weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm and is handicap-accessible. The center gets the word out about local development corporations, business improvement districts, restaurants, attractions, chambers of commerce, neighborhoods and transportation routes. Address: Outside 120-55 Queens Boulevard, Kew Gardens, and www.itsinqueens.com.
