A er a three-week trial, jurors found 22-year-old Ricardo Delgado of Bedford- Stuyvesant guilty of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the murder of Eric Santiago outside Arena Billiards Hall, located at 341 St. Nicholas Ave. near Palmetto Street. Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said that Delgado ran up to Santiago at around 1 a.m. on March 14, 2015, as the victim talked to two other individuals. Delgado then pulled out a gun, aimed it at Santiago and red two shots, one of which struck Santiago in the torso. Santiago was brought by private means to Wycko Heights Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries. Delgado was arrested several days later by the 104th Precinct Detective Squad. Brown called the shooting “a cold and calculating act,” adding that Delgado faces up to 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on May 23.
