Detectives found more than $41,000 in cash; various quantities of heroin, marijuana and cocaine; drug paraphernalia; a loaded, .40-caliber Taurus firearm; and a bulletproof vest. 38-yearold Nelson Donigan was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a firearm.. Hateful graffiti at Maspeth playground In one of several incidents of hateful graffiti found in Queens, four derogatory and hateful messages were found spray painted on the floor inside Reiff Playground, located at 59th Drive between Fresh Pond Road and 63rd Street, by a parkgoer just after midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The anti Semitic and anti-police messages allegedly read “F—k the Jew,” “show money” and “F—k the Police,” along with a swastika, while money symbols and hearts were found spray painted inside the handball courts.. Individual students from all grade levels of the school located at 149-11 Melbourne Ave. held a sitin at their school on Dec. 8 asking that interim principal Rosemarie Jahoda not be considered for a permanent position.
