"The Music Man Jr." at Saint Mary's
Over 500 people witnessed Meredith Willson’s "The Music Man Junior",
a delightful evening of music and dance, on Friday, February 9th at
Saint Mary’s Elementary School in Manhasset. This production featured
some of the greatest music ever created for the Broadway stage, and was
presented in partnership with The Josephine Foundation. The theater-goers
were treated to ever-popular songs, such as Good Night, My Someone,
Seventy-Six Trombones, Ice Cream/Lyda Rose, The Wells Fargo Wagon,
Gary Indiana, Til There Was You, and many more. A cast of 30-plus students
from Saint Mary’s Elementary School gave three fantastic performances on
the Immaculata Hall stage. Director Andrew J. Koslosky helmed the show,
aided by Musical Director Patrick White, Choreographer Dan Stravino, a
superb production staff and backstage crew. The end result was a
performance that thrilled the audience and brought them to their feet with
loud applause. Special kudos to The Josephine Foundation, with whom Saint
Mary’s has partnered for the past 15 years to provide a truly outstanding
performing arts program for their middle school students as well as five
years now at the high school. For more information visit www.stmary.ws,
