According to police, the two suspects approached the 16-year-old and 17-year-old male victims inside of the Halsey Street L train station in the vicinity of Halsey Street and Wyckoff Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19. As the teenagers were about to pay their fares at the turnstiles, one suspect displayed a handgun and demanded their money, cops said. The 17-year-old took his money out — a total of $30 — and placed it on the ground. The suspect with the gun picked up the cash and walked to staircase where the second suspect was standing as a lookout. Nothing was taken from the 16-yearold victim, cops confirmed. The two suspects then fled the station onto the street in an unknown direction. Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to the robbery. The first individual is described as a black male, 25 years old, standing 5 feet 8 inches and last seen wearing a light blue jean jacket, light blue jeans and dark-colored baseball cap. The second suspect has been described as a Hispanic male, also 25 years old, standing 5 feet, 8 inches and was last seen wearing a pink shirt and brown pants. Queens Village man may get a century in prison for armed robbery spree: DA says A Queens Village man faces up to 100 years in prison after being found guilty of eight counts of robbery conducted in a nine-day spree, prosecutors announced on Monday. Dayson Fernandez, 23, was convicted of four counts of first-degree robbery and four counts of second-degree robbery after a two-week-long jury trial. According to Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown, Fernandez robbed four separate livery cab drivers within a nine-day span in July 2014. On July 19, Fernandez got into a livery cab at 221st Street and 108th Avenue shortly after noon and displayed a firearm, telling the driver “Don’t move or I’ll shoot.” He then punched the victim in the head repeatedly, choked him with his seat belt and stole his wallet, which contained approximately $500 in cash.
