A futuristic commercial building is set to
rise in Astoria.
Located at 40-17 28th Ave., the site was home
to a one-story auto repair shop. Demolition
permits were approved in March and the
demolition occurred last month. According
to city records, the new structure will be a
three-story, 14,500-square-foot building with
a total of 124 underground parking spaces.
Th e ground fl oor is reserved for a
7,113-square-foot restaurant, and the second
and third fl oors will house community facility
