St. John’s Episcopal Hospital Hosts Ribbon Cutting and Open House Event
FAR ROCKAWAY, 2018—Thursday, January 11th,
St. John’s Episcopal Hospital celebrated the grand reopening
of the hospital’s Wound Care Center. The event
was attended by members of the community, hospital
staff, and political representatives from the Rockaways.
The Wound Care Center has been serving patients at St.
John’s for about 14 years. However, up until the end of
2017, it was operated by an outside independent
management company. The center will provide patients
with Hyperbaric Therapy, Wound Care, Debridement,
Synthetic Skin Grafts, Compression Wraps, Offloading
Casting, and various Podiatry services. The wound care
center is equipped with two new, state-of-the-art
Hyperbaric Chambers, which provide 100% oxygen
saturation to patients with limb or life-threatening wounds.
The new chambers provide patients with more space and
comfort during their treatments.
