Borough President Adams on October 16 visited with students at
Brooklyn Democracy Academy high school in Brownsville, where
he sampled some of the fresh produce grown at their hydroponics
lab, a hands-on facility pupils use to grow leafy greens by using
nutrients, but no soil or natural light.
