40th Bishop Wright Aviation
Industry Awards Luncheon
with a introduction by JFK
Airport General Manager
Charles Everett who thanked
the Christ for the World Chapel
for its work at JFK and
working together as a community.
Pastor Dabee went on to
explain what it is to be an
honoree of Bishop Wright;
Traits of a Bishop Wright
Honoree: grounded in the
faith, understanding what it
means to make a difference,
and selfless contribution to
the world.
Airport honorees, Stephanie
Baldwin, VP of Airport
Operations JFK, Finney
Kurian, EVP Red Eye Aviation
and the Executive Director
of Queens Federation
of Churches Rev. N.J.
L’Heureux, Jr. are examples
of people who represent these
values said the Pastor to the
gue4sts who nodded approvingly.
Pastor Dabee referenced
Stephanie Baldwin’s “making
a difference” as she said
about her volunteer work
with caring for the addicted,
aimless youths and animal
rescue. The Pastor lauded
Finney Kurian for his selfless
character, involvement
with the Kiwanis and his
support for the Christ for the
World Chapel.
The Pastor invoked the
theme of sacrifice which he
saw in the life of both airport
honorees, and asked the audience
to ponder the sacrifices
of those who came before us,
and what sacrifices we might
be called upon during our
lives during this Holy period
of Easter and Passover.
Both honorees described
their faith, and the value of
community which has been
a hallmark of the Church’s
awards each year.
The luncheon is also the
