Nightmare massage
A liar swindled a 68th Street resident
out of $8,300 on Jan. 1 by demanding
gift cards to pay for a massage
and threatening him if he did
not pay.
The man — who lives between
New Utrecht and 16th avenues — reported
the incident to police around
noon on Jan. 4, according to the report.
New Year steal
A crook broke into a Cropsey Avenue
restaurant early in the morning
on New Year’s Day and stole
$2,500, cigarettes, and candy, police
said.
The break-in occurred at the eatery
at 20th Avenue shortly after 1:30
am, according to the report, which
added that the nogoodnik entered
and fl ed through a rear entrance.
Shocking
A crook swindled a Stillwell Avenue
resident out of $3,895 on Jan.
2 by falsely alleging that he was a
National Grid representative and
claiming that the woman had an
overdue balance and that her service
would be shut off if she did not
pay.
The woman — who lives between
Quentin Road and Highlawn Avenue
— told police that the incident
occurred around 4 pm.
Basement break-in
A good-for-nothing broke into the
basement of a Quentin Road home at
some point between Jan. 3 and Jan.
4 and stole $60, jewelry, and clothes.
The break-in occurred at the
home between W. Second and Third
streets at some point after 6:30 pm
on Jan. 3, according to the report.

Pipe down
Cops are hunting the fi ve goons
that beat a woman on 57th Street on
Jan. 6.
The victim told police she was
hashing out a dispute with a man
and a woman between Seventh and
Eighth avenues at midnight, when
three of their friends crept up behind
her and attacked, punching,
kicking, and at one point, cracking
her over the head with a metal pipe.
Paramedics transported the victim
in “substantial pain” to Maimonides
Hospital following the attack,
according to police.
Screwed
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
attacking his ex-boyfriend with a
screwdriver on 39th Street on Jan.
5.
The victim told police he has a
court order of protection barring
his ex from interacting with him,
but that didn’t stop the man from
bashing his face with the back of a
screwdriver between Fourth and
Fifth avenues at 10:25 am.
Police arrested the man that
day on a felony assault charge, cops
said.
High crime
Cops arrested a man for alleged
possession of an illegal knife after
spotting him smoking a joint at a
Third Avenue playground on Jan.
5.
The arresting offi ce claimed he
spotted the suspect puffi ng on the
whacky tobacky at Gonzalo Plasencia
Park near 41st Street at 3:05 am,
and upon arresting him discovered
he had a large knife tucked up his
sleeve.
Luxury lost
A thief sped off with a man’s Mercedes
Benz he left running and unlocked
on Eighth Avenue on Jan. 3.
The victim told police he left his
keys in the running vehicle between
49th and 50th streets at 5:40 pm, and
a returned a whopping 12 minutes
later to fi nd that his ritzy carry-all

Bloody test
A baddie slashed a man while
trying to rob him on the D train at
Stillwell Avenue on Dec. 31.
The victim told cops that while
he was on the train near the Bay
50th Street station at 10:40 pm, the
lout stood over him and demanded
his wallet, while holding a knife.
He refused, and the brute slashed
him on the left side of the forehead.
The victim then restrained the
good-for-nothing, who slashed him
again on the top of his left hand,
cops said.
The brute then said “you passed
the test,” and fl ed the subway, cops
said.
Chokehold robbery
A dirtbag put a woman in a
chokehold and violently robbed her
at a subway station on W. Eighth
Street on Jan. 2.

The victim told cops she was getting
off the F train at Surf Avenue
at 12:30 pm when the reprobate,
dressed all in black, came up from
behind, choked her, took her down
to the ground, and punched her in
the face and neck.
He then took her cellphone and
fl ed in an unknown direction, according
to cops.
Purse swiped
A punk snatched a woman’s bag
on Brighton Beach Avenue on Jan.
5.
The victim told cops that she was
near Brighton Fifth Street at 8:40
am waiting for a bank to open when
the baddie grabbed her purse and
hit her hand to force her to drop the
bag, which he grabbed and fl ed with
towards Ocean View Avenue.

Attempted burglary
A lout tried to break into a woman’s
apartment on E. 18th Street on
the night of Jan. 3.
The victim told police that the
would-be intruder tried to get in
while she was sleeping in her home
near Avenue T sometime between
10 pm and 6 am the next day. Police
said the scoundrel possibly used
tools to damage the door.
Empty-handed bandit
A burglar ransacked a woman’s
house on E. 14th Street on Jan. 4.
The victim told cops that the
fi lcher climbed in through the rear
bedroom window of the home near
Avenue Y while she was out sometime
between 5 am and 7 pm and
scoured the house, but didn’t take
anything.
Wallet snatcher
A burglar stole a wallet from an
entry way of an apartment on West
Seventh Street on Jan. 4.
The victim told cops that the thief
got in via an unlocked door and stole
the wallet, bank cards, identifi cation
cards, and $120 in cash from a
ledge in the entry way at 86th Street
between 10:15 and 11:20 pm.
Slice thief
A delivery man was robbed on
Avenue X on Jan. 1.
The victim was delivering a pizza
and two sodas near Coyle Street
at 11 pm when a malcontent stole
his goods while simulating a pistol
through his hoodie pocket, police
reported.
The bandit then fl ed in an unknown
direction, according to cops.
Botched shoe sale
Two armed thieves stole sneakers
from a man on E. Fourth Street
on Jan. 6.
The victim said that one of the
louts got into the back of his car
near Avenue V just after 7:30 pm to
buy a pair of his sneakers, and when
he was about to hand them over, the
scoundrel pointed a black gun at
him and told him to give him the
shoes, according to cops.
A second malcontent then approached
the car and told the victim
to get out of the vehicle, authorities
reported.

Shady
A man took sunglasses from a
Flatbush Avenue department store
on Dec. 31.
The lout took three pairs of designer
shades and left the store near
Avenue U without paying for them
at 12:45 pm, according to cops.
Car burglar
A bandit swiped electronics from
a woman’s car parked on Avenue U
on Dec. 31.
The victim left her car and went
to shop in a store at E. 58th Street
at 12:40 pm, and when she returned
about 20 minutes later, she noticed
that someone had stolen electronics
from the back of her car, according
to authorities.
The victim also told police that
she wasn’t sure if she had locked the
car and that there was no damage to
the vehicle.
Lingerie louts
Four bandits stole lingerie from
a store on Flatbush Avenue on Dec.
31.
The women took a kimono and a
bra from the store at Avenue U and
walked out without paying, according
to police.

A bandit robbed a department
store on Avenue U on Jan. 2.
The crook stole fi ve drills from
the store at E. 57th Street at 8 pm,
