Cigarette baddies
Two bruisers assaulted and
robbed a 64-year-old man on Mermaid
Avenue on April 15.
The baddies approached the victim
on the corner of W. 29th Street
as he was walking home around
7:20 a.m., and demanded money,
according to the police report.
The perps then began punching
the victim in the face multiple times
before stealing a pack of cigarettes
and fl eeing toward Surf Avenue,
cops said.
Surf Ave. stabber
Cops cuffed a man who they say
stabbed another man on Beach 47th
Street on April 26.
The perp and the victim were arguing
near Surf Avenue shortly before
9:30 p.m., when the 51-year-old
baddie allegedly stabbed the victim
in his right arm, causing a minor
laceration, police said.
Cops showed up and arrested the
perp later that night.
Pour decision
A burglar stole tequila from a
Cropsey Avenue restaurant sometime
overnight on April 23.
The perp entered the business,
between Bay 52nd and Bay 53rd
streets, through unknown means
between the hours of midnight and
7 a.m., before stealing the alcohol
and making off, cops said.
Sleeper move
A pickpocket stole from a sleeping
subway rider on April 22.
The victim boarded the Coney
Island-bound Q train at 34th Street
in Manhattan and fell asleep at approximately
5 p.m., he told cops.
When the victim woke up at Ocean
Parkway station on Brighton Beach
Avenue, he noticed his phone and
paycheck were missing from his
pocket, which had been cut open,
cops said.
Hospital bandit
A sneak stole a woman’s purse
at a hospital on Ocean Parkway on
April 23.
The victim left her bag on a bench
while she went to the bathroom in
the medical center, between Shore
Parkway and Avenue Z. When she
returned at approximately 9:30
a.m., the pocketbook — containing
money, jewelry, and a cellphone —
was gone, cops said.
Debit card con
A sneak stole $2,155 from a W.
31st Street woman on April 23.
The victim, who never lost possession
of her debit card, received
a bank statement in the mail to her
address between Mermaid and Surf
avenues alerting her of several unknown
charges to her bank card,
according to cops.
Grand-son scheme
A con artist swindled a 90-yearold
woman out of $3,500 on Neptune
Avenue on April 25.
The shyster called the victim at
around 2 p.m. and told her that her
grandson was in jail and needed the
money to be released.
The victim then withdrew the
money from her bank account, and
agreed to meet the fraudster outside
of her building between W. Fifth
and W. Sixth streets to give the liar
the funds.
The woman later made contact
with her grandson, who knew nothing
about the incident, cops said.

Pirates of Sheepshead
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
sneaking onto a boat docked
on Emmons Avenue on April 26 and
stealing several bottles of liquor.
The suspect boarded the boat at
the dock near E. 21st shortly after 9
p.m., before breaking a window to
enter the cabin, police reported.
He then went behind the bar and
stole $200 worth of alcohol, cops
said.
Police tracked down and arrested
the 44-year-old perp near Ocean Avenue
and Shore Parkway later that
night, according to authorities.
Purse snatching
Three bandits robbed a woman
on E. 17th Street on April 23.
The perps approached the victim
between Quentin Road and Avenue
R at 10 p.m. and demanded she hand
over her purse, police said.
The woman handed over the
bag, containing a cellphone and a
wallet, before the perps fl ed toward
Coney Island Avenue, according to
the report.
Wallet thieves
Four crooks robbed a man on Avenue
T on April 23.
The victim was near E. Fifth
Street at 11 p.m. when the four
men approached him, according
to officers.
One of the baddies grabbed the
victim and held him down, while

two others searched the man’s pockets,
stealing his wallet, police said.
The four thieves then fl ed toward E.
Fourth Street, cops said.

Head case
A lout punched a man multiple
times in the head, causing a laceration
and a concussion, and stole
his headphones and book bag on
70th Street on April 19, the man
told police on April 22.
The incident occurred just after
midnight on April 19 at Bay Parkway,
when the man was walking
home from a school function and
the brute began to punch him from
behind before grabbing the headphones
and backpack and fl eeing on
foot, according to the report.
Doctors diagnosed the man with
a concussion the next day, authorities
reported.
Biked into the night
A thief stole a man’s bike from a
W. 12th Street park on April 23.
The theft occurred in the park
near Avenue P at around 7 p.m.,
according to the report.
Cashed out
A thief stole $2,000 and a man’s
jewelry from his W. Sixth Street
home, at some point between April
25 and 26.
The burglar grabbed his loot
from the home between Avenues S
and T at some point after 1 p.m. on
April 25, according to the report,
which added that there were no
forced signs of entry.
Overnight steal
A lout stole a man’s gray 2011
BMW from its 24th Street parking
spot sometime overnight on
April 25.
The man told police he parked his
car near 62nd Street at 5:30 p.m. on
April 25, and returned at 10:30 a.m.
the following day to fi nd his ride
gone, according to the report, which
added that the man left his car keys
in the vehicle’s cup holder.
Quiet crook
A baddie stole a woman’s purse
— with $650, her phone, and her
social security card inside — at an
86th Street library on April 26.
The theft occurred around 11:30
a.m. at the library near Bay 17th
Street, police said.
Oh, baby
A crook stole $150 and a credit
card from a baby stroller parked on
84th Street on April 27.
The thief raided the stroller
parked near 20th Avenue at around
1:30 p.m., according to authorities.
Not welcome
A would-be crook tried to break
into an 80th Street apartment on
April 27.
Police say the baddie tried and
failed to force their way into the
apartment between 18th and 19th
avenues through a rear secondstory
window at around 9:40 p.m.,

A gunman stole $7,500 from a
man on 64th Street on April 22.
The victim told police he’d arranged
to meet up with the thief in
order to purchase a small fortune’s
worth of digital cont.ent for an online
video game between Fourth
and Fifth avenues at 9:15 p.m., but
that after he handed over the cash,
the crook stuck a gun in his face and
told him to scram.
Apple picking
A thief beat and robbed a man on
51st Street on April 22, taking his
iPhone and $50.
The victim told police the crook
asked him to spare some cash near
Sixth Avenue at 4:30 a.m., and then
attacked when he refused, kicking
him in the leg, before taking his
valuables.
Glass hole
Some jerk busted the window of
a man’s car he parked on 55th Street
on April 22.
The victim told police he left his
2014 Toyota Sienna near Fifth Avenue
at 7 p.m., and returned the next
morning to fi nd a passenger window
shattered.
Crack down
Cops arrested a 27-year-old man
after allegedly nabbing 10-ounces of
crack cocaine from his 62nd Street
apartment on April 29.
Offi cers executing a search warrant
of the suspect’s home between
Second and Third avenues uncovered
the stash of narcotics at 6:45
a.m., and charged him with a felony
drug charge, according to authorities.
