Brooklyn as Macerich’s
Kings Plaza, Brooklyn’s premier
shopping destination, is set to
host the third annual Fashion Week
Brooklyn Fashion Show, on Saturday,
April 21 at 6 p.m.
Guests can expect to see the hottest
trends from Kings Plaza retailers on
the runway featuring over 100 models
selected from Kings Plaza Casting
Calls. This year’s participating
retailers include Macy’s, Forever 21,
Charlotte Russe and a sneak peak of
fashions from soon-to-open retailers
including Primark and Burlington.

opening ceremony of Brooklyn’s
signature fashion event here at the
borough’s premier shopping destination,”
said Dawn Simon, area senior
marketing manager, Macerich.
“Focusing on fashion is natural for
Kings Plaza and we invite the community
to experience this incredible
event. This year’s fashion show is
event more special,” said Simon. “We
will feature a sneak peak of amazing
fashions that will be found at our new
retailers, Primark and Burlington,
who will open stores at Kings Plaza

FW|BK has emerged as one of the
leading fashion events showcasing
the talent of aspiring and established

31-year-old woman was sitting on
the southbound “N” train when the
suspect entered at the 59th Street
station and sat across from her.
The man, without exposing
himself, proceeded to masturbate
underneath his pants. The suspect
continued the act until he exited the
train at the Stillwell Avenue station.
He then fled in an unknown location.
The perp is described as a white
male, approximately 60 years old, 5’7”,
230 pounds with a light complexion,
gray hair, gray mustache and brown
eyes. He was last seen wearing a black
t-shirt and white pants with a black
design on them.

A four-alarm fire
home on Wednesday,
April 11, injuring three.
According to the FDNY,
the blaze started inside the second
floor of a home on 63rd Street
between 19th and 20th Avenues at
around 3:15 p.m. It was under control
at around 5 p.m. One civilian sustained
a non-life threatening injury,
while two firefighters also sustained
According to the FDNY fire
marshals, the cause of the fire was,
“illegal use of torch on a combustible
roof,” according to the FDNY's official
Twitter account. FDNY also reported
that there was no smoke alarm in use.
