MALE FATALLY SHOT IN WEST FARMS
Police need your help solving a fatal shooting in West Farms. Police responded to a
report of a male shot near East 178th Street and Boston Road on Monday, January
7 at 7:19 p.m. Upon arrival, 48th Precinct police offi cers discovered an unconscious
and unresponsive Jerodd Watkins, 38, inside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his
head. EMS responded to the scene and transported the West Farms resident to St.
Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made
and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to

POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING AT E. 219TH STREET
Police need your help solving a fatal shooting in Williamsbridge. Police responded
to a report of shots fi red in front of 1024 E. 219th Street on Wednesday, January 9
at 5:43 a.m. Upon arrival, 47th Precinct police offi cers discovered an unidentifi ed
man, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his
torso. EMS responded to the scene where they pronounced the victim deceased. No
arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with
information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are kept strictly
confi dential.

40th Precinct
Monday, December 17 at 7:45 p.m. -- Cops
got a report of a robbery that occurred at the corner
of Brook Avenue and East 149th Street and
are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual
sought for an interview. A 16-year-old man,
the victim, was walking on Bergen Avenue when
an unknown individual began walking next to him.
This individual brandished a knife and forcibly took
the victim’s iPhone 6S off of his person, along with
headphones, before fleeing the scene in an undetermined
direction.
The unidentified individual is described as a
black man with a dark complexion who is about
20-years-old. He was last seen wearing a gray
sheepskin jacket, black pants, white sneakers with
blue laces and a black-hooded sweatshirt. Video of
this individual was obtained from a business located
on Bergen Avenue.
Thursday, January 3 at 4:00 a.m. -- The NYPD
is seeking the public’s help in identifying four individuals
they want to interview in connection with an
assault that occurred at the corner of Cypress Avenue
and East 138th Street. The victim, a 28-year-old
man, was walking to a nearby subway station when
he was approached by four unidentified men who
proceeded to assault him. The victim was punched
and kicked before the four individuals fled on foot on
Cypress Avenue towards East 137th Street. Pictures
of the individuals are included.
44th Precinct
Friday, January 4 at 8:00 a.m. -- Police got
a report of a grand larceny that took place inside
of BronxCare Health System at 1650 Grand Concourse.
An unknown person, a male black who
is about 5’6” and 200 pounds, entered a training
room and took the wallet and checkbook of
the victim, a 54-year-old woman who is an employee.
The wallet contained four credit cards and
parking garage key card. Several purchases were
made at local grocery and sneaker stores nearby
with the stolen credit cards. The individual sought
was seen wearing a gray sweat shirt, black pants,
white and black sneakers and a black hat.
Thursday, January 15 at 7:22 a.m. -- Cops
responded to a 911 call concerning an unconscious
man inside of Railroad Park near East 161st Street
and Courtlandt Avenue. After arriving at the scene,
police found a 61-year-old unresponsive man with
no apparent trauma. Emergency Medical Service
responded and pronounced the man dead on the
scene. The medical examiner’s office will determine
the cause of death. Police are engaged in an ongoing
investigation.
47th Precinct
Monday, December 31 at 9:40 p.m.-- Police
got a report of a shooting near 907 E. 221st Street.
An individual fired several shots into the parked
vehicle of a 26-year-old man who was one of the
shooting’s victims. Both the 26-year-old man and
a 34-year-old passenger were hit by bullets. The
26-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks
and the 34-year-old man was shot several
times in his legs. The individual fled the scene on
foot on East 221st Street. Both victims were treated
and then released from local hospitals. The individual
who fired the shots is described as a man
with a black and green umbrella. He was last seen
wearing gray sweatpants, a black jacket and white
sneakers.
