ST. JAMES PARK OPENS REPAIRED HANDBALL COURT
Bronx Parks Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa, Councilman Fernando Cabrera, Community Board 7 district manager Ischia Bravo, P.S. 246 students and administrators and community
members cut the ribbon on St. James Park’s $485,000 renovated handball courts on Friday, January 25. The improved handball court includes a resurfaced handball wall, new pavement,
a reconstructed fence, a reconstructed asphalt access path leading to the court and landscape work.

P.S. 89 CHEERLEADERS HEADING TO NATIONALS
Councilman Mark Gjonaj congratulated the P.S. 89 Panther Cheerleaders who are heading
back to the Nationals. P.S. 89 is the fi rst Bronx school to qualify and will be going to the
Nationals for the second year in a row.
P.S. 89 Panther Cheerleaders are eager to compete once again in this year’s Nationals.

cockroaches for Valentine’s Day 2019.
