43RD PRECINCT INVESTIGATES FATAL HIT AND RUN
Police are investigating a fatal hit and run involving an elderly woman and a school
bus. According to police, 43rd Precinct police offi cers responded to a report of a pedestrian
struck at the intersection of Story Avenue and Havemeyer Street on Thursday,
February 14 at 9:48 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered a 68-year-old female
laying on the roadway with trauma all over her body. EMS responded to the scene
and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation by NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that
the pedestrian was attempting to cross eastbound on Story Avenue when she was
struck by a yellow bus traveling southbound on Havemeyer Street. The vehicle did
not remain at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains
ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notifi cation. Anyone
with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are kept

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying these two men in connection with a robbery
incident in the 46th Precinct on Friday, January 18. NYPD
40th Precinct
Tuesday, February 12 at 6:16 p.m. -- The
NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying
two men wanted for questioning in connection
with an assault. They approached a 30-year-old
man inside the lobby of an apartment building in the
Melrose Houses that is near East 153rd Street. The
men pushed the victim into an elevator. They had a
hand tool and a cutting instrument. The victim was
stabbed in the torso and slashed in the face inside
the elevator. EMS responded and took the victim to
a local hospital for treatment. The two men fled in
an unknown direction. One of the individuals is described
as last seen wearing a blue hooded shirt and
a black leather jacket. The second individual was
last seen wearing a brown or tan jacket. Please see

43rd Precinct
Monday, February 18 at 12:45 a.m. -- Police
are investigating a reckless endangerment incident
that took place in the rear of a supermarket at 2079
Benedict Avenue. Three unknown men were walking
to a car when one of the men pointed a gun in
the air and shot several rounds. The three individuals,
described as black men in their 20s or 30s, then
entered a dark colored Mercedes Benz SUV and fled.
No injures were reported. One of the men was last
seen wearing all white clothing. Another was last
seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and white
pants. A third was wearing all dark clothing.
46th Precinct
Friday, January 18 at 6:50 p.m. -- The NYPD is
asking the public’s assistance in identifying two men
pictured in a photo on this page. They are wanted for
questioning in connection with an assault.
A 41-year-old victim was walking in front of
1900 Grand Concourse when he was approached by
two unidentified men who began punching and kicking
the victim about the head and body. One of the
individuals had a cutting instrument and slashed the
victim on his head and face, causing a severe laceration.
They then fled the scene. EMS took the victim to
St. Barnabas Hospital. The victim had multiple cuts
that required stitches.
The persons wanted for questioning are Hispanics
in their late teens or early 20s who were wearing
all dark clothing.
48th Precinct
Sunday, February 17 at 3:38 p.m.-- Police got
a report of a 911 call of a past assault inside of 775
E. 185th Street in Apartment #10. Upon their arrival,
the found a 51-year-old woman with apparent head
trauma and a 14-year-old man who also had head
trauma. EMS responded and pronounced both dead
on the scene. An investigation is ongoing as of press
time.
These two men are wanted for questioning in a robbery case in the 40th Precinct. NYPD
