Law Enforcement Remembers Fallen P.O. Ruotolo
Community and law enforcement leaders joined relatives in remembering the late 41st Precinct police offi cer Thomas Ruotolo at his
street co-naming ceremony on Thursday, February 14 at Southern Boulevard between Intervale and Longwood avenues. Thirty-fi ve
years ago, Ruotolo was killed in the line of duty by a wanted felon while he was responding to a moped robbery in the south Bronx.
Police offi cer Ruotolo’s family, NYPD and public offi cials paid their respects to the fallen police offi cer 35 years later.
