Good people. Good
food. Good time. Our
fi rst ever Allerton
Lucky Bingo was a success.
If you missed it we
hope to see you at the
next one.
Many, many thank
yous to those who helped
make this possible.
First, Beth Abraham
for their generous hospitality.
Their staff and
residents are an amazing
part of our community.
We thank them for
opening their doors and
welcoming in the community.
Gasolina ... the food
was a big hit and worth
the price of admission
by itself. Thank you
Maria Dinardo for contributing
the salad and
cake. And Renaissance
Cafe for providing the
coffee.
The prizes were
amazing. The IHOP $25
Gift Card I think was an
unoffi cial crowd favorite.
Thank you Bronx
Zoo, New York Yankees,
Kazdan Chiropractic,
Bronx Martial
Arts Academy, Margie’s
Bridal and the beautiful
Sanz Banquet Hall.
Thank you to Jacqueline
Acevedo-Villanueva
and all of our vendors.
We will post their
links later today so you
can continue to shop local
and shop small business.
Volunteers Veronica,
Grace, Paul, Shenaya
and Larry helped make
the event go smooth and
kept it fun.
And last but not least
all of our neighbors and
friends who came out to
support. You made our
fi rst Bingo Night a success
and we look forward
to doing it again.
We discussed it and
will conduct three Bingo
nights at Beth Abraham
every year that you can
count on. The next one
will be the Allerton
Freedom Bingo, Friday,
July 5. We had 40 guests
at Lucky Bingo let’s
double that next time.
The more we raise the
more we can do.
Attend our next
meeting Tuesday, April
2. Door to the beautiful
Sanz Banquet Hall, 815
Allerton will open at 7
p.m.
Bring your checks to
get your tickets to our
Anniversary Gala May
18th honoring Acting
DSNY Commissioner
Steve Costas. They are
$75 each and the food
will be amazing. The
company will be a great
networking opportunity
with music, door
prizes and more. It will
be worth the price of admission.
But if nothing else
getting your ticket and
taking out an ad in the
journal shows the community
you are with us
and we stand together
to make Allerton the
best place to raise a
family. We need your
support.
We are aggressively
fundrising so we never
have to be dependent on
outsiders infl uencing
our community.
We are working to
make sure we control
our Holiday Lights and
that they are the best
in the city. That will
cost us $35,000 up front
and last us 5 to 10 years.
Saving us money in the
long run.
We also want to continue
and improve our
community events and
neighborhood clean
ups. And put together
the seed money to begin
the Incubator Project
to promote and support
new small businesses in
our community.
At our meeting we
will also discuss our
next event the Easter
Bunny comes to Allerton
on Saturday, April
20. Get your free photo
with the Easter Bunny
and color eggs.
Our guest will be
NYC Department of
Transportation Commissioner
Nivardo Lopez
and there will be
lots to discuss. Bring
your questions and concerns
for us to discuss
and resolve.
We thank everyone
for their support
throughout the years.
We need your support
now more than ever.
Get involved. Get informed.
And chip in anyway
you can.
