To close out Women’s History
Month on a high note, Councilwoman
Vanessa Gibson hosted her
time honored Women’s HerStory
Month Celebration on Wednesday,
March 27 at Mullaly Recreation
Center.
This year’s honorees were
Adriene Holder, The Legal Aid Society
attorney-in-charge of the
Civil Practice; Dianne Morales,
Phipps Neighborhoods CEO; Maria
Almonte-Weston, Bronx Community
Solutions project director;
Elsia Vasquez, PALANTE Harlem
founder and Jennifer Jones-Austin,
Federation of Protestant Welfare
Agencies CEO.
Judge Sallie Manzanet-Daniels,
associate justice of the New
York Appellate Division of the Supreme
Court, First Judicial Department,
served as the gala’s keynote
speaker.
