BCHN BLOOD PRESSURE PROGRAM PILOT
Bronx Community Health Network celebrated participants of its 6-month blood pressure
program pilot at Bay Eden Senior Center on Wednesday, March 27. During the pilot, free
screenings were provided every Wednesday, along with education on blood pressure monitoring
and management.

BRONX MUSEUM’S GALA RAISES OVER $1 MILLION
The Bronx Museum of the Arts celebrated its annual gala auction on Monday, April 8 at
Capitale, which raised over $1 million, making it the most successful gala in the museum’s
history. The evening honored leaders in art and social justice including Hank Willis Thomas
and Eric Gottesman of For Freedoms; Junko Kobayashi, Stan Lee Foundation president; and
art journalist, curator and playwright Carey Lovelace.

Young patients at the Children’s Hospital at
Montefi ore tested their sporting skills at the
annual Sports Day event on Thursday, April
4 and had the opportunity to meet sports
stars from the NY Jets and the Yankees.
Sports legends Joe Girardi, New York Yankees;
Robby Anderson, NY Jets; Davis Webb,
NY Jets, Mickey Rivers, New York Yankees
and Morgan Tuck, CT Sun made a special appearance
at the event, going head-to-head
against some of the kids and signing autographs.
