Taste of the Bronx launched on fi rst offi cial subscription box at the Taste of the Bronx Pop-Up Market on Sunday, April 14 at the Bronx Cookspace. The event featured merchandise from
Sustainable Snacks, From The Bronx, the New York Botanical Garden, Cards by De, Kasinator Visuals and Everything Soulful among many others.

Ajkun Ballet Theater performed ‘Sleeping Beauty’ for St. Raymond Elementary School After-Care Program students on Tuesday, April 16 inside the school’s auditorium. The performance
followed a fi ve-week ballet class for After-Care Program students in second and third grades taught by Ajkun Ballet Theatre dancers. Twenty-fi ve of these students performed on stage
with the professional dancers in Sleeping Beauty.

St. Joseph’s School for the Deaf participated
in the annual Spirit Day Parade on Monday,
April 15 from the school to Assemblyman
Michael Benedetto’s East Tremont Avenue
district offi ce. The children thanked the assemblyman
and his colleagues for their efforts
on behalf of the ‘4201 schools.’
