Rafael Salamanca in the Council Chambers to deliver the invocation
for the Council’s Stated Meeting at City Hall.

SBHC’S DR. SALCEDO RECEIVES AWARD
Dr. Vanessa Salcedo, a pediatrician on staff at St. Barnabas Hospital and
Union Community Health Center, has received the 2019 Young Physician
of the Year Award from the National Hispanic Medical Association.
Dr. Salcedo spearheaded the creation of the very successful Healthy
Beverage Zone project that was launched borough-wide to encourage
individuals and institutions to limit consumption of surgery drinks and
sports drinks in the interest of combatting childhood obesity, liver disease
