Jericho Project hosted City Hall in Your Borough, Mayor de Blasio’s series of visits among
administration offi cials, community leaders and residents across the fi ve boroughs, on
Thursday, January 31 at Walton House. NYC Department of Homeless Services Commissioner
Steve Banks and Human Resources Administration Administrator Grace Bonilla met
with Jericho Project CEO Tori Lyon and Walton House residents, formerly homeless veterans
and young adults.

NY KOC HOSTS BENEFIT FOR CALVARY HOSPITAL
Calvary Hospital hosted 120 people at its 39th annual Communion Mass and Breakfast sponsored
by the New York Chapter Knights of Columbus on Sunday, February 3. The Chapter
presented a $10,000 check to Timothy P. Barr, Calvary Fund vice president, during the celebration.

AVIATION CAREER NIGHT AT BRONX MUSLIM CENTER
The Muslim American Society hosted its second annual Aviation Career Night at the Bronx
Muslim Center on Saturday, February 9. The high-fl ying business event featured a panel consisting
of pilots, fl ight engineers, law enforcement offi cers and air traffi c controllers. Guests
were treated to networking opportunities with aviation professionals from local airports.

CROWLEY DONATES CONGRESSIONAL PAPERS
Former congressman and Queens College Class of 1985 alumnus Joseph Crowley donated
his congressional papers to his alma mater’s Benjamin S. Rosenthal Library in a deed signing
event on Thursday, February 7.
Joseph Crowley (l) signed the deed gifting his congressional papers to Queens College as
president Félix V. Matos Rodríguez watched. Among the items from the Crowley collection
are a framed copy of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, with the original signatures
of former president Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, featuring a
handwritten note from Pelosi and a commemorative pen used in the signing.

Darcel Clark met with community members
at a Bronx coffee shop, The Coffee Break
Company at 3217 Philip Avenue. Clark discussed
how the Bronx is leading the way
in combating 30% of the city’s crime rate
through initiatives she’s helped to create
and sustain such as the witness safety program
and the domestic violence complaint
