AECOM HOSTS MWEZI ONE EXHIBIT
Albert Einstein College of Medicine hosted an opening reception of its Mwezi One Exhibit on
Thursday, March 21 at Forchheimer Building’s D. Samuel Gottesman Library. A collaboration
between Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Pelham Lab High School, Kalamba Secondary
School, Kenya and the New York-based non-profi t Kiboko Projects, the semester-long
project combined community and global health experiences for rising second year medical
students, with the aim of increasing their cultural humility.

BP DIAZ HONORS IRISH TRAILBLAZERS
Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. honored Irish American leaders at his annual Irish Heritage
and Culture celebration on Thursday, March 14 at Rambling House. This year’s honorees
were NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan; Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan
and Michael Fogarty, past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 9 Bronx
County and longtime community leader.

OCASIO-CORTEZ HOSTS MOBILE OFFICE MEETING
As part of her mobile offi ce meetings, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez met with
Bronxites at the Westchester Square Public Library on Thursday, March 21 to discuss rising
housing costs.

DINOWITZ RALLIES WITH ACTIVISTS
With momentum for public fi nancing gaining, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz joined over
30 activists from the northwest Bronx and around NYC on Friday, March 22 to publicly show
support for a small donor matching program in this year’s budget.
