Local third, fourth and fi fth graders competed in the annual SMARTS Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 30 at Stevenson High School Campus. Hosted by Senator Luis Sepulveda and Assemblywoman
Karines Reyes, the winner in each grade earned a $1,000 prize with $500 distribued in cash or check and $500 in a NYS College Scholarship.
