Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler Care Café hosted a panel discussion and presentation for community members about gang violence and prevention on Monday, April 1 at Mount Carmel
Church.The program, ‘Rewriting your Story: Alternatives to Gang Violence,’ is among a series of events created since the tragic murder of 15-year-old Bronx resident Lesandro ‘Junior’
Guzman-Feliz last summer.

The Young Kings and Queens Chess Club and P.S. 196 co-hosted its fi rst ever Chess Tournament on Saturday,
April 6 at 1250 Ward Avenue. With the support of over 44 parents, approximately 74 students spanning
grades kindergarten through fi fth grade enjoyed learning the game of chess and positive life skills
in a fun environment.
