CATHOLIC WIDOWS & WIDOWERS HOST SPRING DANCE
The Catholic Widows and Widowers of the Bronx hosted its Anniversary Spring Dance on Sunday, April 28 at Scavello’s On The Island. The dance included a cocktail hour, sit-down dinner,
open bar for one hour and unlimited wine for the rest of the evening.

Team Salamanca presented Fernando Rosa A.K.A. the ‘Mayor of Hunts Point’ with a City
Council Citation in celebration of his retirement. Rosa has served the Hunts Point Community
at the Hunts Point Recreation Center for 17 out of his 20 years with the NYC Parks

On Saturday, April 27, Empire BlueCross BlueShield Foundation joined New York City’s YMCA at the Bronx YMCA on Healthy Kids Day® to present a $75,000 contribution in support of the
Coordinated Approach to Children’s Health Program at the Y.

UCHC LAUNCHES BRONX TEEN FIT
Continuing our efforts to combat the health and social disparities that exist in the Bronx,
Union Community Health Center hosted ‘Bronx Teen Fit,’ a holistic health and wellness
program dedicated to reaching the hardest of the most disconnected population: teenage
boys, on Thursday, April 24.
Teen Fit participants and UCHC staff joined UCHC CEO Dr. Douglas York (2nd row, 2nd from
