VETERANS REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR ATTACK
Veterans from the Throggs Neck Memorial Post 1456, Theodore Korony American Legion Post 253 and Silver Beach American Legion Post 1371 marked the 77th anniversary of the Pearl
Harbor attack on Friday, December 7 at Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park.

PATHWAYS TO APPRENTICESHIP GRADS HONORED
In partership with Pathways to Apprenticeship, council members Vanessa Gibson and Fernando
Cabrera hosted a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, December 5 at Bronx Community
College Gould Memorial Library Rotunda. The ceremony honored their 21 consitituents
who have successfully completed the pre-apprenticeship training program and are ready to
start careers in NYC’s unionized construction industry.
Local electeds congratulated the graduates on their incredible accomplishments.

ALESSANDRA BIAGGI SPEAKS TO PRESTON STUDENTS
Preston High School welcomed recently Senator-elect Alessandra Biaggi to speak to students
on Monday, December 3. Biaggi addressed the importance of young women taking an
active role in their community and encouraged them in becoming leaders for change.
