MALE FATALLY SHOT IN PARKCHESTER

42 Precinct
Sunday, December 16 at 2:30 a.m. -- A
66-year-old man was walking on the street opposite
557 E. 169th Street when he was approached by
three unknown individuals. They pushed him to the
floor and began punching and kicking the victim.
They then took his wallet with $250 in cash before
fleeing the location. The victim sustained minor
cuts and bruising but refused medical attention.
The trio are described as male blacks. One has a
thin build and was last seen wearing a black jacket
with red lining, gray sweatpants, black Nike hooded
sweatshirt, black and white colored sneakers.
Another has a light complexion, short braided
brown and black hair. He was last seen wearing
a black jacket with patches, grey sweat pants, a
black hooded sweatshirt and black and white colored
sneakers.
Friday, December 21 at 12:57 a.m. -- Cops responded
to a 911 call of an assault in progress near
Boston Road and East 169th Street. They found a
32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back.
EMS responded and took the man to Lincoln Hospital,
where he was pronounced dead.
43 Precinct
Thursday, November 8 at 5:00 p.m.-- Cops
got a report of a robbery in front 1372 Metropolitan
Avenue. Two unidentified individuals approached an
18-year-old man and struck him in the head in order
to take his Apple headphones. The individuals then
fled on foot in an unknown direction. They are described
as two Hispanic men in their 20s. One was
last seen wearing a a black hooded sweater, tan
pants and red and white backpack. Another was
last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with the
letters “NYC” in front of it.
Thursday, December 20 at 6:16 p.m. -- Police
responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of
2167 Westchester Avenue, finding an unconscious
23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower
back. EMS responded and took the man to Jacobi
Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at
the hospital. In connection with the incident, cops
released the description of an individual described
a black man in his 20s who was last seen wearing
a red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jacket, blue
jeans and red shoes.
48 Precinct
Saturday, November 3 at 12:35 p.m. -- Two
black women engaged in a verbal dispute with a
63-year-old man while aboard the Bx21 bus. The
bus was travelling eastbound at East Tremont Avenue
at E. 177th Street. The dispute escalated, at
which time one of the women poured soda on the
victim. The other woman then took out a razor and
slashed the right side of the man’s face. EMS responded,
taking the victim to a local hospital where
he was treated and released. One of the women was
wearing a black jacket and a red skull cap, while another
was wearing a red hooded sweater.
Police in the 43rd Precinct wish to interview
this individual concerning something that
happened on Thursday, November 8.

Police need your help fi nding a suspect wanted in connection for a homicide in
Parkchester. According to police, 43rd Precinct police offi cers responded to a report
of a male shot in front of 2167 Westchester Avenue on Thursday, December 20 at 6:16
p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered an unconscious 23-year-old male with a gunshot
wound to his lower back. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim
to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have
been made in this ongoing investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld
pending family notifi cation. Police are searching for a suspect described as a black
male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored
jacket, blue jeans and red shoes. A police source said that prior to the incident the
suspect had a verbal dispute with the victim. Anyone with information is asked to
call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are kept strictly confi dential.
